Installing SFC 1
« on: August 17, 2005, 03:03:59 pm »
I just got in SFC 1.  My question is:  Will I be able to install this game onto a Winxp system?  Currently when I go to install the program I get this error msg:  The procedure entry point SUnMapLS_IP_EBP_20 could not be located in the dynamic link library KERNAL32.DLL.  If i'm correct didn't microsoft do away with that file in winxp?  Any help would be appreciated.  Thanks ahead!

Hi and welcome to the boards. Yes there is a fix for this, I believe Peselance did one. I'll have to look It up though for you. Gimme a few minutes.

Outstanding. Glad I could help. If you ever need anything else, feel free to post or ask a Mod or admin. We're a pretty good friendly bunch here.

This is weird.  When I first bought any SFC game, it was SFC Gold Edition.  I installed it onto my copy of XP, but that was before SP2 came out.  Never had a problem with installation or gameplay, except I didn't know how to play.  hehehehe  Figured that one out soon enough!!!  :-D

Yeah the 1st SFC game I played was SFC3 demo(which I'm still getting use to the game  in single player mode).  So I just ordered this one, with 2 other Star Trek games, on ebay as well as ordering the 2 SFC2 games, and SFC3 (had to order that one from overseas but its in English).
