Choice #3 should read: F,L,M,G vs K,R,H,I (Bonk already edited it. The poll is correct)

I don't care about the teams; the alliances are never a reason why I show up or not. 

I'd like to see a non-carrier server(normal Hydrans not included), no pfs or anything of the like.

I won't do Plasma Vs. Besides, thats ripping of Karnaks server.

Looks like the Federation and Klingons Vs. Rabble is winning! I have a map already and WOW... It looks too cool!

LK runs VT and TS together all the time (KHH generally uses TS)...

How about F, K, and R versus the rest...those F-DDL(+) ships are kinda neat, but Feds have those yucky blue and green interfaces, and their crew voices give the ISC a pretty good run for their money in the "most Sally-Nancy-pants-sounding, wimpy crew" category. Plus, it would be nice to have a bit more choice than photons/drones or dizzies/drones. Also, the ISC kinda reminds me of that silly dominion The Mighty Klingon Empire always had to save the weak, pajama-uniform-wearing flatheads from.

Yeah, I run TS and VT at the same time during every campaign to keep in touch with everyone.
Now, if I could just make sure I push the right "push to talk" key for the right voice com all the time, I'd be OK... ::)

Once for VT and again for TS... ;D

Normal Lyrans have PF's just like Normal Hydrans (such as they are) have fighters...

You'll find most of my ideas on contemporary dynas. It just take a couple years for the other admins. "to see the Karnak light".  *snicker*.

But, imitation is always the best form of flattery.

Some examples:

  • AI stripping missions. First successfully done by EEK in April, 2003. AOTK2 was first dyna to roughly duplicate it. Still not quite there yet.
  • Disengagement Rule. First argued for by moi in SG3 using missions scripts. Was finally done as ad-hoc rule in SS2 a few months later.
  • Standardize shipyard costs based on the CA. Set BCH at 4 to 5 times CA cost. First proposed by moi a couple years ago. Finally done in GW dynas.

That's all I can think of right now. And, there's a lot of EEK features missing, blah, blah, etc. So, there's a lot more to do.  I want a fixed SQL server kit before I do anything about it though.

There are also a few ideas built into EEK missions by Dizzy/Corbomite (randomized map terrain), Chuut (Red Alert auto-start), and many others.

Some ideas I did not like, stood my ground on against some pretty nasty, somewhat immature, peer pressure, and, sure enough, these ideas did eventually go the way of the Do-Do:

  • Configurable missions. Too many robustness risks. Not really necessary with the way you can use shiplist.txt to manipulate settings
  • DIP.  You don't vet the Techies. You take what you can get and be glad you did.  A lot of Techies avoided DIP cuz they did not feel it was right that the casual players could have membership voting power on them. Plus, you're sticking in way too many cooks. A total warping of priorities there. ::)

Hey, what happened to your webmap? I always was proud that you first developed it for ISC Inv. dyna SQL dyna.  You should bring it back.

in late 2003, I made a variant of your webmap code for the registration module in Islandwars at www.islandwars.net, hit "Registration" buttion. See, yer famous. ;D

BTW, look what Frey did for me =>  www.eek-scripts.com 

I need to fill it in a lot. Including the first "campaign map slot" where your webmap originally was.  Mb, it could be our first SQL Dyna like I first always intended for ISC Inv. in 2003. ;D

That's what I voted for BTW. I haven't gotten to fly with Klingons in a long long time. Besides the IDea of the two superpowers vs. the rest of the galaxy, It just seems cool.

I have to agree, it would be great to see both Klinks and Feds on the same side, but history has proved so far it can't work.
