I made the ARC 170 but thats not how it looks in game exactly lol. When you exported it you missed the 2 upper wings and the paint patterns. The 2 lower wings are in the wrong position also

The legendary P81 has posted here! Awesome!

Thanks Darkdrone for the ships! We aren't worthy, LOL! How about an X-wing in attack position w/ R2 please?

Hey, I hope all the old modelers will pop in from time to time even if just to ask what time it is!... a reminder of those old days when the passion for all things SFC was still new!

you converted the Ravensclaw from Jedi Knight 2, i have somewhere a 3ds model of it converted from Jedi Knight:Jedi Academy
all those models are great and i like the different Astromech Droids idea on the X-Wing

Yea I have been ao SOE for a while now. Kinda started like it did for SFC, with the game. Me, Anduril, Paladin, SkullNBonez, and a few other old taldrenits have a guild and we play there going on 2 years now. so naturally i wanted to work on the game also :)

As for the models DD the models look like you convert L1 as opposed to L0. L0 is much rounder for both the xwing and the arc. I did a fairly accurate YT1300 too but it was one of my first models there and to be honest I'm not too happy with the final ship> If given the chance I would like to take another crack at it, but oh well.

Last note DD, looks like the Maya smoothing and hardening didnt go through your converter, if your using Max you will want to revisit the smoothing groups.

DD as you know the S foils on the ARC are a bit out of place i have already corrected these and also put them in attack formation and i also added the R2 units to the open X-wing i could send then to you so you dont have to go to the trouble of doing them if you like

Yea our ships are fully customizable so its kinda rough for modders to get them together properly. Each ship like the xwing has 3-4 engine styles, 6 gun styles, wing styles, and add on peices and parts we well as 6 color patterns each with 256 color hues. so each player gets to custoimize thier fighters and make them feel more like something they own.

The flip side is when you try to sort out allthe bits and pieces its alot of work to reassemble them. lining up wings and guns and turrets and getting the right textures is a pain. GL dude :)

There are a couple of idiots who run his Karma down ....  and Azels too.
(kinda sad to see people act that way for no apparent reason)..  Azel and P-81 are two of the most gifted people to ever post on this forum.  We can all learn a great deal from them.

BTW....  I gave P-81 a +1 earlier today when I saw that negative crap !

(just my 2 cents worth)

DD glad to be of help :) , i sent you the files let me know if you got them OK i also went back and corrected the upper s-foil placement on the open version of the X-Wing they were set a little to close to the fusealage. i had a little help from my girlfriends 14 yr old son to get the angles right on both the ARC-170 and the X-Wing and teaching him the little i know about max so we may have another modeler here in the future :)

You know what might be one of the easier conversions from SWG for you guys is the sorosuub 3000 I made for JTL. It has no real parts and you can rob the YT1300 for radar dish and turrets.

BTW thanx for the karma.

BTW thanx for the karma.

IMHO ..   this is a place to learn ..  and share ideas on how to better our selves.  That in turn helps the community ...  We can disagree in an honorable fashion without destroying the credibility of another.

We can all learn from each other !  (Even my solemn 2 cents worth of hand sketches and hand carved ships ...  some one can turn into a model)

thanks P-81 ...  you have given a LOT to us ...   the least we can do is to show respect.

thanks

Snickers@DND: If there is one straight answer in that bent little head of yours, you'd better start spillin' it pretty damn quick, or I'm gonna take a large, blunt object, roughly the size of Kallae AND his hat and shove it lengthwise up a crevice of your being so seldomly cleaned that even the denizens of the nine hells would not touch it with a 10-feet rusty pole

There.  I just gave P81 a positive karma score.  In my opinion, the only reason to give someone negative karma is if they post something vulgar or totally out of line.

Wow I've been wondering when some one would take a crack at converting these... much needed infusion of SW stuff! It is great to see P81 is still knocking around too :)

Oh btw I don't know if it is the picture or the model, but the falcon is mirrored in that pic DD, the cockpit pod should be on the starboard side of the vessel. Just a heads up.
