Grats!
Really I am very disappointed in the lot of you  >:(

I mean ,there's been what almost 40 views and no one
of you has posted saying "well done".

I know some people will point out that Brax was flying a DNL -arguably the best ship on the server right now-
for some of these, and likely shouldn't be congratulated for such an achievement.
Brax has worked hard at beating smaller ships with that PVP monster and deserves our respect.
It can't be easy needing a Fed DNL to compete in PVP in the years 67 and 68 on the server.
Most of us would have quickly gotten bored slaughtering our opponents so easily, Brax alone managed to
soldier on and achieve this great... achievement.

Maybe, a lot of people don't understand what the medals are for?

I, for one, don't know what they are for.  For PvE play?  For PvP play?

In addition, a lot of people may not understand Fed ships.  I did not until I played them for a couple dynas.

A little clarification would do a lot of good.

They're for PVP

Can't remember the order but you receive them for

-Capping a live player
-Destroying a live player
-Forcing a live player to disengage
-Inflicitng damage on a live player

Tracey said that only the highest level applies, so if you score internals on someone and
then cap them you only get the cap medal. I scored the internal by inflicting a few
internals then running away (think it was Agave and Brax), which would have given them
the disengagement one.

Doh!!  The thread title says:  "PvP Medals"  :smackhead:

Very good job.  Congrats. ;D

BTW, can an I-CC wax a F-DNL, or should I wait for the I-CCY?

Just want to be prepared.  :flame:

Still missing the caoture medal myself, too bad Braxton did Ye Olde Taco Bell in our one on one encounter or I might have gotten another shot at it.  The Argent Dawn would have made a nice trophy  :P

Oh sorry I've already got the set

I didn't do it in a Fed DNL though so I didn't think it was worth posting about.

Almost all of you already know this.  However, we do have a few new players this dyna, so let me point out that it is 50% of the *BPV*, not 50% of the cost.  Each hull class has a different cost multiplier.  The ship you get as a replacment will cost *far* less than the one you lost.

This has caught people by surprise in the past, as they lose a 28K cruiser and find themselves in a 3K DD.

Last I checked, the PvP medals ARE the special ones. The ones we're not getting are the campaign medals. I don't know if anyone has even made a way to use the campaign medals in a dyna server.

Yes, we can use the campaign medals as well (the larger ones underneath the mission medals). I'm thinking these campaign medals might be awarded for completing a particularly difficult or possibly even a unique campaign mission in the future.
