Ok, I did a complete system wipe, fresh install, patch, OP+ 4.0, ran aotk installer...
I get to the campaign selector screen. Click on AOTK2, and get as far as "initializing security" and BAM, back to desktop. Someone help me.

Might just be a DB clean type thing
I can get to the server but it times out trying to count down.

i was just on and lost connection. Now im getting a long count down this happened just mins ago maybe that is the problem. Did you try logging on to onr of the other servers to see if you crash?. It might not be you.

It's been this way for over a week. It's not counting me down either. Once I get to "initializing security" I'm at the desktop in less that a 1/4 second. So fast I had to log in several time to read the entire "initializing security" mesage.

Did you install Direct X 9?

dont know whats up with that. Did you completly uninstall everything before reinstalling? Are you behind a router or using a firewall? Im just throwing out ideas. The only time i ever had this happen was when i logged on to a server that had special files. Maybe your missing TG newest missions?
Im at a loss and just throwing out ideas here.

Got a weird error when running dxdiag. Maybe my copy of direct x got corrupted? Know where I can redownload it from?

He says he can get to the server selection screen so I'd assume he has the server patch.

I had a similar problem after installing McAfee Privacy Service. I uninistalled the program and was albe to get into Dyna servers again.

ME cannot even glue his workable pc back together as it still will not allow him to play SFC... thats where ME is at...hopefully he gets a new pc soon...as i am afraid thats the only thing thats gonna work for him...
