Trekmods is dead... long live Trekmods.
« on: July 29, 2005, 12:39:47 am »
I bring you sad news of the official demise of the mod team formally known as Trekmods. No nobody died, but the team itself has pretty much broken up and went thier own ways. I officially resigned from what was left of them yesterday. Being that i was the only modeller they had left the team no longer exist.

However not all is bad news because all of the late Trekmods SFC models will be uploaded to battleclinic once i look em over and fix any remaining bugs with them.

As for myself i shall continue building ships on my own when time permits me to, and posting them here or at TGU. I have no ill feelings. my only regret is we were never able to finish the mods we started.. We worked together for almost 6 years to bring 1st Homeworld mods, then SFC/BC mods. I wish all the others luck, and good fortune.

Ill see u guys around when i got something new to post ;)

that's to bad m8 after all that work. But sometimes breakups are for the best. Just stick around here, we'd love to have you here.
Snickers@DND: If there is one straight answer in that bent little head of yours, you'd better start spillin' it pretty damn quick, or I'm gonna take a large, blunt object, roughly the size of Kallae AND his hat and shove it lengthwise up a crevice of your being so seldomly cleaned that even the denizens of the nine hells would not touch it with a 10-feet rusty pole

Nobody knows, because nobody's heard from him in months.  Why do you ask?

Kinda sad really ...

Not too many modelers left.  I am glad you are sticking around here.  Guys like myself can make a small contribution now and then ...  but it's guys like yourself, Reddragon and the rest of your Trekmods team that really keep SFC stuff (regardless of what division) going.  I sincerely hope the best for each of you ..   and would like to offer what encouragement I can.

I genuinely hope as time passes and changes occur, as it is inevitable, that we can all continue to help each other and the SFC community.

thanks

While the team itself no longer exist, the remnants of Trekmods.. Myself, Captain Pierce, and a few others are doing what we can to put some spit, and polish on what we released before, and release some ships we had on our drives that didnt quite make it to the site before its demise. I cant give a timetable on these releases at battleclinic. Time of course is always our worst enemy...Simply when they are done they will be uploaded at BC 1 ship at a time.

You already have seen a few ships show up like the Venture scout, and the TOS D-7/D-7c. I also have my latest TOS Constitution model there as well.

I belive Redragon released some of his work on his own at battleclinic. His Ent era Rommie BoP is there (the dragon class). Also his NX-01, and neptune class. He has done mainly Romulan and Federation ships so search those 2 areas. As far as contacting him good luck. No one has seen or heard from him in months.

Hey, Stress, as I said in the GamingUnion forum, Mr_Tricorder fixed the Nebula and Sovereign models for me (I could never get the pic to upload over there).  Could I send you the pic via email?

SP thanks for all your hard work. Your models, like the Venture, are some of my favorite in SFC. Can't wait to see your new releases at BC. Please announce them here so we'll know when to go grab them.

THANKS AGAIN!!!!

Dolph is very particular on his permissions for mods. perhaps if you can upload a pic here or have someone else post it for you. I have no working e-mail at the moment and i rarely if ever check my hotmail account lol (cause its a SPAM magnet).

As for using them in another mod. If it were up to me i would say go for it as long as credit is given, but unfortunetly it is not.

The only visible change on the actual models was that I added "Enterprise" on the rear of the Sovereign class ship.  The changes were mainly so it would work well in SFC3 such as adding the BS, VL, and TI images, the .gf file, and stitching up the break models.  Actually, I think I created a whole new break model for the Sovereign.  I'm not at my computer right now so I can't check all of the changes I made right now, but the ships still look the same.

Maybe he should keep track of his work if he's so particular......

Carefull green, he does keep track lol. Dolph has a nasy habit of dissapearing then showing up when you least expect it.

Read my TGU post.

If all you did was add a name on the tail, and made UI graphics then i dont see any issue. If you created a new break mod for her then send it our way so we may include it in the future Battleclinic release. or attach it to a PM to me.

Will do, I'm getting Mr_Tricorder to add the same damage textures from the Nebula to the Galaxy seeing that the Galaxy didn't have any.....
