Hour, honour and hotel all begin with vowel phonemes. United does not.

I prefer "honor" over "honour"   ;)

We've really got to have a U.S. Vs- The World server someday.

Be interesting, I guess the Canadians would get less value for their PP dollars in the shipyards though  :P

You know it could be cool with the US being represented on the map with as close an outline as possible to the actual shape of the United States, do that and we might let you invade California unopposed  ;)

It'd be fun
It'll have to wait of course, I'm supposed to go down and visit a friend in NY sometime
before Xmas.
I'd hate to get jumped by a bunch of middle-aged SFCers bent on revenge.
Smacking the lot of you around in RL would be even more depressing than it is online..

You could actually use different races for the World with Canadians, Brits, Aussies, etc having their own color.

It should be a sliding scale then over the years of the server. Florida, 1975. Young Canadian TobinDax in Florida being refused the proper exchange rate for the higher in value Canadian dollar. That's right folks. Just think of the interest on every nickel over 30 years...hmmm...J'inn!!!

there would be American identity problems as CNN reported recently that Ameicans are masquerading abroad as Canadians. There was a company in the story selling "kits" with Canadian flags etc.

You apparently don't have any Brit friends. Ask a Brit about that. He or shee will tell you "An united front" is actually correct. Along with "an hour", "an honor", and "an hotel". :P

LMAO. I'm guessing you're about the only one in this forum that doesn't know I'm English, not to mention a highly educated Englishman at that. Pffft.

PS, it's "a hotel". At least you got "an hour" right (and no comment on "honor", though I wonder why the "u" hasn't been dropped from "hour" ;) ).

funny, I was wondering why the English didn't put an extra "u" in "stupor"   :P

A serious question though Moggy,  I know you use "valour" and "splendour" but do you really use "candour" instead of "candor"?

I can't recall the last time I ever used the word, but yes, candour is a valid spelling here.

It's quite funny how many times you and I have this kind of discussion ;)

We can't drop the u in hour. It would change the pronunciation.

Yeah, but the US has NASA and only US citizens can work at NASA.That's gotta count for something . . .like the US ships are perenially grounded, and the ship probes don't send back sensory data cuz some programmer misplaced a few bytes of code in the probes AI, and the ship deep scan sensors don't work that well w/o a complete overhaul of the initial telescope deployment into space, and...

U know the US gov't. could really be a bug and not a feature for the US side. :P

Karnak => annoyed and irritated US taxpayer.  :-\ :-\ :-\
