Topic: DirectX 8.1 Error Troubleshooting (Read 1234 times)

I've recently installed SFC3 onto my hard drive and immediately tried to play the game. After the intro I was given an error message that I'd not had DirectX8.1 or greater installed, even though I'd done so. I've uninstalled it, reinstalled it without DirectX 8.1, downloaded and installed the newest version (DirectX 9.0), and tried again, only to once again be hindered by the message that I'd not had DirectX 8.1 or Greater installed on my computer! Does anyone have a fix for this? I appreciate any help....!

you can find the latest patch for SFC3 on battleclinic that should solve the directX problem

Which patch do I use? Is it the 534b patch? And if not where on the site could I find it? I'm very new with the use of forums and searching within them. Thank you for your help...
