Mine worked fine. In fact I had an email saying not to tell you, but decided to anyways.

Well got another problem Gmail is working fine again but know I cant get into Hotmail. I get to the login screen just fine but no farther and I have not changed a thing in IE.  I can see my inbox on my msn.com page just cant get into it. And this all started when I checked my yahoo mail on time.

Maybe you should start by asking me why I said that.  My comment was directed at Hotmail specifically not all Microsoft products.  I use Windows 2000 myself as well as Linux.

Are you aware of Microsofts future (before year end) plans for Hotmail?  The plans that have any E-Mail not coming from a program using a patent licensed from Microsoft gets dumped before you see it?  So if you are getting E-Mail from someone who does not use an E-Mail program that is MS Licensed and current then you will just not get those E-Mails anymore.  That of course includes those using older copies of Outlook Express.

According to published reports, the company plans by November to require mail sent to its Hotmail and MSN customers to be authenticated with SenderID for E-Mail. Mail that doesn't come from a conforming server will be tagged as potential spam.

"We think Microsoft is trying to strong-arm the industry into the adoption of an incomplete and not accepted standard," said Dave Rand, chief technologist for Internet content security at security software company Trend Micro.

"Microsoft has been trying to shove Sender ID down the throats of the Internet community for several years now, to little effect," he said.

Microsoft's unilateral move may hurt Internet users, he said. "Sender ID isn't widely deployed, meaning that average users are now at risk for having their legitimate e-mail tagged as spam when they send messages to Hotmail users."

To me this Hotmail change is just a test by Microsoft to see if they can get away with it.  If they can then they will make it a mandatory part of Outlook Express and try to use it to kill competition. 

I choose not to allow Microsoft to dictate how I use my computer and what software I can run.  I choose not to allow Microsoft to dictate what E-Mail programs can send E-Mail to me.  You have the right to choose otherwise.

Isn't this what most email services do already? When an email is tagged as spam, it then is delivered to a spam
folder and then you the user decides on whether or not it is truly spam. I did a quick browse of the article that
you linked but I didn't see where it said that an email would NOT be delivered.
