Look at it this way J'inn, at least it is being a little constructive right now instead of us having to call 911 for the fire trucks.
Agreed. It started out a little inflammatory, but things have settled down and we're looking for real solutions.
Part of the solutions, clearly, is having stable missions. The angel of the D.net forums, our own lovely TraceyG, is dilligently working on this. We now have a core set of patrols more stable than anything I've seen to date. There are some bugs, but these bugs aren't the kind of things that make the missions unstable. Once the patrols all work as intended, with no noticeable bugs, Tracey is going to move on and update the rest of her missions with the core code from the patrols and we will then have a stable cord dynaverse mission pack.
Beyond that, rethinking and revising the disengagement rule, applying it selectively and with discretion depending on the kind of ship will be an improvement. Its taken us time to get this far with the rules, and we have to continue to adapt them to the (and I hope you'll pardon the reference to old Soviet tactical doctrine) objective conditions here.
