Well...I'm flattered...but I have just above zero computer programming skills...I can barely keep my own PC running...and that was with your help...
Running teledata cable is easy as pie...getting the system up and running still requires some extensive PC knowledge if I'm not mistaken...I may be a qualified electrician...but I'm no " sun solaris 8 Sysadmin"...
Surely..there is someone more qualified that could use the money...someone like yourself...
Seriously...if they are that much in a bind...hire a local ( union ) contractor to run the cable and then fly up and bring up the system...it will be cheaper than having to put me up in a hotel and having me screw up half the system
I would hazard a geuss that chicago local unions, like toledo , have qualified teledata techs....and all unions take "short calls" ( a day or more of work for a man)....
I would also bet that there are at least a couple of contractors that would jump at the chance to make some new bussiness contacts...
Call the chicago N.E.C.A. office...get a list of qualified contractors...hit em over the head for a good price....fly up to spec the system.....be a hero...
It's what I'd do...I sure wouldn't ask some half assed electrician from toledo to save my butt...to much risk of unforseen problems that could quickly lose ALOT of money...
Cost benifit ratio dictates to me that
qualified local help....with company provided supervision...is probably the best solution...
Maybe set up the labor for the teledata cables and have bonk spec the system?...I bet he could use a buck or two...and then you wouldnt have to field 100 fantic calls from chicago
