The dumb thing is- from the little I've seen- it's a bit worse of a deal for the players than what was on the table a year ago.
It does seem that way, but they finally figured out that part of something is better than nothing.
They have to put a salary cap in place or more than one team is going to go under.
Most teams can't afford to raise ticket prices and can't afford to pay 2-5 guys 6-10 mill each a year, let alone one guy (like when Jgar got 1/3 of the Penguins $30 million payroll)
And if they are not doing revenue sharing, they better start.
