Thanks, it's only in WIP stage though atm, the textures still need some work and I need to remap the bottom!

excellent. I noticed you MSN'd me (I think it was you) just before I switched back to my main HD, you got your comp issues fixed? if so you can now send me files for BC ports if u want.

I can't send you anything atm Starforce, if you want to port them you'll have to download them like everyone else.
It's not a computer problem, the ADSL computer of my home telephone line at the exchange is fried and I am waiting on it to be fixed. It's been 3 weeks! <grrr>

The original model is a high-poly mesh over at Star Trek Australia. Permission still has not been secured to release any design based off of that original mesh, yet.

I just popped a thread on ST auz for designs too, I needed to post another thread to identify a CGI I found on my drive so figured I'd ask for dominion designs for ya as well. Saves trouble asking for each and every mesh/design if they just volunteer them...lol

Is that a general policy, and is there anywhere that it's posted for people to see?

I'd always heard that he was a little protective of his designs (not that there's anything wrong with that, BTW

). Not to try and steal Smiley's thunder or anything, but I'm sitting on a Trekmods Hor'da, and I've been waiting on some clarification of its status. I know the team had permission to make it for our Homeworld mod, but wasn't sure if that permission extended outside that particular game...

Doesn't say anything about copying a design, however if it's a unique creation the monetary gain rule would still apply, technicly it would apply regardless as it's heavily canon based and the name of the race itslef is prob copyrighted..

That's what's bothered me, the fact that it's his design originally. Obviously no monetary gain is involved, I just would like to see something specific to know that he's not going to be pissed.

Lol, that's what I thought that whoever was going to be online enough to actually contact him, would actually be asking him!
It's obvious that no-one is going to make any money out it - but it is his design, and it's his permission to recreate his design in a low poly format for use in sfc/bc/whatever, that I need. If I was around, that's what I would be asking him myself.
