AOTK2 Beta Stuff

for now, all the missions are from the ED Corepack.   Odds are you already have these installed

Install OP+ 4 first if you have not done so

Below is the Mod.    This is BETA and will likely not be the final installer.   Run this installer and then run the "Enable AOTK" Shortcut that appears on your Desktop

Everyone remember, this is still BETA and will change so if you are bandwidth impaired, download with Care.

Just a quick heads up. If you, like me, do not install OP to the default install directory, when you get done installing the AOTK2 mod, you will have to move the .bat files to the correct OP directory. DH is being a bastard (as usual :P ) and refuses to make a minor alteration to his installer that drops the batch files the same place you told the installer to drop the mod directory.

Hmm, tried to get in.  Says I'm missing Met starbaseconstruction.scr - where can I get that one?  It's not in the evile Dave pack - I loaded that first!

cannot access as it tells me I have the wrong fighter.txt and wrong shiplist.txt     could someone give me the right ones here plz?

First, read the install instructions for the mod. Second, read my post about non-standard OP install locations if you don't use the steck install location for OP.

Besides, the standard install etc does not include the fighter and shiplist .txt files.  All I ask, if you cannot post the ones I need, then at least post the actual size of the files so that I may install the correct one without trying each and every individual one I can find through trial and error.  THX.

See if there's a directory called DH123 anywhere. Should (maybe possibly) have the shiplist and fighterlist in it.
It *should * be a subdirectory of wherever you told the installer to install.

I also miss the days of "here's the ship & fighterlist, put them where they go"

Although- and I don't say this because DH has threatened to remove the L-BCV- he is doing one super job at this stuff.

I'm not sure if you wrote this for Windows XP or what, but when I try to run this installer, I get the message, "This installation package cannot be installed by the Windows Installer service.  You must install a Windows service pack that contains a newer version of the Windows Installer service."

The machine I am trying to run it on uses WIN98SE, and I have all the windows updates installed.  I just came back from microsoft.com where I made sure I had all the latest updates.

Do you have just the files I need, without the installer?  I could easily install them all manually.

I had to find the DH123 file and manually copy and paste the ship and fighter lists in order to get on the server also.

Easiest thing to do with a DH written installer is simply say
"What's the most bonehead thing he could do?" then go figure it out.

Hexx will be writing all installer from now on, only pronble is they will only work on Mini-PCs :P
