Topic: One fan, two spots. (Read 1836 times)

I have an 80mm fan. I can do one of two things:

Put it in the front of the case, as an intake fan, or put it on the side of the case. I already have a 120mm fan in the back (not counting PSU). Where should I put it?

I've been told that there ought to be one case fan blowing at the CPU, too. If so, maybe you can put it on the side, so as to direct more air on the processor.

If the fan slot in the front is in line with the hard drive(s) then I would put it there. Hard drives can build up a lot of heat as well. The only reason I would put a fan on the side of the case is if the CPU temperature is high. Hope this helps.

This case has special "air ducts" that direct air to the processor.

The fan would be directly under the hard drives.

i would personally put it in the front. this would allow for best circulation as it would pull air in from the front and push it out the back. by placing it on the side you miss the whole forward part of the case which would probably lead to some pockets with some heat build up
