I saw a 33 year old Glenord (or was it Cragganmore?) available recently for $385 US,  still out of my price range though. <more drool>

I cracked my 16 year old Lagavulin a few days ago, by way of kissing the highlands goodbye, perhaps for the last time, sigh.  :'(

I only had time to enjoy one triple out of it and left the remainder in the secure hands of employees of the local distillery (as they will appreciate it):

http://www.glenoradistillery.com/ Their own single malt scotch er.. ahem... whisky  ::) is not too bad for such a young distillery.

P.S. drb, there may be a front man job (maitre d') at the dining room there for you next summer if you might be interested ? (it screams drb is perfect for this job...) I'll keep you posted.

I tend to like most scotch. But I would say I'm attracted to the Buttery taste of Glenfiddich  :thumbsup:

Yes, drb is the host with the most. hehe I would love that job it is a shame the only places I can do what I set out to do in Canada is Toronto or Vancouver. Actually Vancouver would not be so bad, but it is far from the beloved Highlands.

Hoi Bonk,

I can not stop thinking about what you posted above, adding the photos was just cruel, that land is so pristine. For years we have known the perfect combo would be "you know who" running the kitchen, with me out front running the floor. This opportunity, should it arise, would give me pause, to say the least. The Starfleet Widow would love it there.

 Feel free to relate to those concerned to let me know when the job opens up. I have a notion I would not be able to turn it down.

 Did you hear that?  Its the Highlands calling for me to return with my family, and it sounds lovely!
