Anybody know if Milkshape can convert .wrl files to .mod files?

Yes it can but you must have the plugins to import/export .mod files...you can find them either on the milkshape site or at assimsoft...or I think even right here at Dynaverse.

Try also at Battleclinic. I think Milkshape can only handle VRML 2.0 though.

VRML= Virtual Reality Modeling Language

A modeling format introduced before the advent of 3DSMAX or Lightwave or even Milkshape....basically a modeling languafe that was supposed to allow you to make models for say engineering or aircraft or space stations...VRML is still very much in use and existence but had the misfortune of appearing at roughly the same time as those other modeling proggies that we have come to use and love. There were three types depending on the release date: VRML 97, VRML 1.0, and VRML 2.0

For a superb example of what can be done with VRML, please check this site http://homepage3.nifty.com/ysflight/frmindexe.html out...the flight simulator this guy did is incredible.

Hey thanks, man. But I just D/L'd Milkshape and realized I can't use th efree trial anymore as I have done thsi once already. BAH!

So I think I am at square one again. Is there another way to convert .wrl to .mod out there besides Milkshape?
