I couldn't find one just now, but I did manage to find a great site for schematics.  I've been looking for something like this for a while!

If none is available, this is one I could probably do for you.. :)

(edit) Just trying a kitbash, and it's working not too bad... see if this is something that you could live with.  No texture work done yet, using the stock Maguellanes textures, and the USS Republic's TOS FCA textures to start with...

If it's what you were wanting, I'll finish the kitbash, and then do the texture work to make it all match.  :)

sorry but this TOS model looks simply ugly without the photon Turret  and why must all Fed TMP ships have an TOS version can there be not a ship that is only a TMP design  :( ;D

Why?  Because we can that's why, and you can never have too many TOS ships.  And to answer the second part of your question, there are several ships that are strictly TMP that come to mind.  The Wilkerson, Remora, Franz Ferdinand, Andor, Northhampton, Durrett, Chesterfield, Excalibur, Grissom, Thufir, Atlanta, Einherjer, Odyssey, Zeus, Ulysses, Ranger, and the Rosa.  Those are just the ones I can think of off the top of my head.

Seems to me there are quite a few ships that are tmp only. But this is going into my personal mod.

And anyway why arnt you releasing more ships yourself, Wern't you going to do A Rom V20, I've liked all the other ships you've made so far.

That because that Rom is a fugly horrific kitbash that was made in 2 minutes by a12 year old fanboy, seriously I mean it's just a Jem'Hadar battleship with the pods from the Jem'Hadar battlecruiser with token Romulan bits stuck to it in the form of the nacelles and completely unmodified head of a D'Deridex, the parts don't mix well they're from 2 very conflicting styles and there are so many good original Romulan designs out there that put that to shame (all of Azel's TNG Romulans for just one example) infact most of the fan submitted stuff on Shipschematics is pretty gut-wrenching, take for Federation ships named after Pokemon, like this beauty for instance:

Oh and try not to double post Dizzy

Wow.  It looks like whoever was designing that Charmander class ship ran out of time, just stuck a box on the back of the saucer, stuck a couple of nacelles (actually, I can't tell if it's one or two) on the box, and called it finished.  Add the fact that, except for the box, all parts of this ship come from the Intrepid class, and you have one horrible, useless rippoff.

Because, someone asked.  Isn't that the basic reason why we do this?

There was a request for a TOS version of this, which I am working on fulfilling.  I removed the photon turret for a simple reason, as this is a TOS version, it made sense not to have it there.  The seperate torpedo pod is a TMP development afterall.

I have to agree with ya there. Some ships shouldn't have TOS versions. I'm just happy there's no TOS Sovereign. ;)

np... noone has ever asked for one.  But if someone did, I think it'd be awesome to play with the design, specifically how to try and backdate some of the tech to make it look somewhat plausible.  :)  Call it a "design model" or whatever.  The thing I look at with these are: they're fulfilling someone's request, and they're fun to do.  I don't really care too much if they're canon or not, they fit into *someone's* universe, or else they wouldn't be asked for.  ;)

Almost redone the textures here on this one.. just have to fix the texture for the deflector and clean things up and it's almost good to go over to Khalee...

Don't get me wrong Alec, I'm sure it was fun to do, and yes someone did ask for it. My point was simply this.......

The Lamborghini Diablo was not driving around when the Model T came out right ? The Diablo is far more advanced etc. Yes some ships have a TOS lineage the obvious one being the Connie. She had her time and her MOVIE refit but alas she went the way of the Model T. A timeless classic but not a modern day hotrod. Yes there's plenty of room for every idea in the game and yes it is a personal choice whether to use a particular ship in ones Personal Trek Timeline. I wasn't trying to disrespect anyone by stating how I felt, or saying anything about your ship at all. You have mad skills, as I've said time and again, and this is just another example of it. Great work !!!!

Lord Schtupp has a TOS Galaxy at his site.  He did a really good job with it, but the idea of a TOS Galaxy class is a little too extreme to fit into my universe.  Here's the picture of it from his site.

Yup, I'm aware of it, and personally I find this puppy wicked sweet.  ;)  I was planning on revamping the textures one of these days on it and bring them a little more into line with the Connies.  :)

Point understood and no offense taken, but I'm looking at it this way.  If someone in the time of the Diablo said to someone,"I wonder what the Diablo would've looked like in the time of the Model T?"  Then they tried to create the beast in the style of what had been done in that time.  What would it have looked like?

Or conversely, in the early 1900's, there were racers.  They pushed the limits, and in some cases designed vehciles that had design elements that were not comon until a couple of decades later.

And Boeing's SST is a plane that was designed in the '70's, and has been updated occasionally since.  If it had been built, you'd have found a lot of elements common between it and the new plans for the stage two shuttle concept (where everything in the vehcile relands and is reused, and it launches like a plane with three stages of flight).  And once it's built, you'll find similar design elements between it and the Concorde, a ship that was built.

This is entirely a concept of "What If?", and Khalee looked at his fleet and decided ,"I need a 'What If" ship right here, and that ship is a TOS version of the Maguellanes."  So he came here, and asked.  That's also *exactly* why I helped put together the Alseides for Atolm.  An uber-fanboy ship yes, but really pretty ingame, and I learned new skills on it that I've applied to more recent models down ther line.

We here are all the "What If?" Makers.... and I'm just happy to try something new.  ;)
