Don't get me wrong Alec, I'm sure it was fun to do, and yes someone did ask for it. My point was simply this.......
The Lamborghini Diablo was not driving around when the Model T came out right ? The Diablo is far more advanced etc. Yes some ships have a TOS lineage the obvious one being the Connie. She had her time and her MOVIE refit but alas she went the way of the Model T. A timeless classic but not a modern day hotrod. Yes there's plenty of room for every idea in the game and yes it is a personal choice whether to use a particular ship in ones Personal Trek Timeline. I wasn't trying to disrespect anyone by stating how I felt, or saying anything about your ship at all. You have mad skills, as I've said time and again, and this is just another example of it. Great work !!!!

Point understood and no offense taken, but I'm looking at it this way. If someone in the time of the Diablo said to someone,"I wonder what the Diablo would've looked like in the time of the Model T?" Then they tried to create the beast in the style of what had been done in that time. What would it have looked like?
Or conversely, in the early 1900's, there were racers. They pushed the limits, and in some cases designed vehciles that had design elements that were not comon until a couple of decades later.
And Boeing's SST is a plane that was designed in the '70's, and has been updated occasionally since. If it had been built, you'd have found a lot of elements common between it and the new plans for the stage two shuttle concept (where everything in the vehcile relands and is reused, and it launches like a plane with three stages of flight). And once it's built, you'll find similar design elements between it and the Concorde, a ship that was built.
This is entirely a concept of "What If?", and Khalee looked at his fleet and decided ,"I need a 'What If" ship right here, and that ship is a TOS version of the Maguellanes." So he came here, and asked. That's also *exactly* why I helped put together the Alseides for Atolm. An uber-fanboy ship yes, but really pretty ingame, and I learned new skills on it that I've applied to more recent models down ther line.
We here are all the "What If?" Makers.... and I'm just happy to try something new.
