it'll be a TMP style ship, a possible varriant to the Excelsior. The picture I posted kinda looks cardassian, I realized after staring at it for a while, but it'll end up eventually be federation

It's a decent start.  The half saucer idea is interesting.

It does look Cardassian. why not try to make it one ?  If ya don't like how it turns out  ya can always go back to your original idea.  ;)

I don't ever recall anyone ever doing TMP reditions of Cardassina ships. You may have inadvertely stumbled onto something here.

I did, but I haven't had a chance to look at it as I'm on a public computer at the moment. Once I get myself back online with my PC, then we'll be in business.

Time to bring this ship out of the mothballs. This is the ship I've now renamed as the USS Scotty. I have finally got the time to work on this ship again.

I like the nacelles.  Very interesting design, and very detailed from the looks of it.  It looks as if the ship is to be some type of carrier or transport, but I could be wrong.
The pen is truly mightier than the sword.  And considerably easier to write with.

Excellent!  I really like the nacelles too, and I agree that it does look like a TMP transport.  However, since you're naming it USS Scotty, you could make it an engineering or repair ship, kind of like the repair ship from Armada II.

the original design was for a carrier with a through-deck hanger, but I had to rebuild the entire mesh when I started over so I never put the hanger back on. I may release a second carrier version of this still, but that'll come later.

Yea they look like they took their inspiration from the 'lost' Enterprise from the cancelled 70's tv series. Intriguing... perhaps you could develop a variant with a full saucer to be an Excelsior style test bed from that middle TOS-TMP era... think of it... if the design and development/R&D process is anything like todays aerospace or marine industry they'd need to operationally evaluate some of the ideas of the Excelsior before integration on the full prototype... Its an idea anyhooo.
