God, I love those games!

I just played through the same sequence three times on KoTOR 2, just because I liked it! ;D

I hate it when I forget to save.  Especially when I just went through a long period of weapons tinkering and levelling up. 

Lost three hours of progress the other night because I got so caught up in the story I forgot to hit 'Esc'.

God I'm an addict.  Though oddly, Silent Hunter III still calls to me as if it were the One Ring.

Yeah, forgetting to save is one of the ultimate pains of gaming.

I loved KOTOR, and wish there was a Trek rpg game that was of this quality, out on the market.

heh, I have not yet gotten KOTOR II but i did load up the original last night. Saw 7 hours of my life sucked away and I didn't even notice it.


Yet at the same time I'll probally play shIII tonight to get my fix for it.


I hate being addicted to different things, it's like allways being in withdrawal.

I'm enjoying it so far. I don't like the fact that you can't keep good influence with your best fighters (Handmaiden) and I wish that I could just chop of the old space witch's head... but it's still nice to see them thinking in terms of inter-personal relationships in an RPG. The blind chick is cool, though sa is the addition of the Sith War Sword- especially the double-bladed one. *makes up someD20 stats for thar one* Now I just have to figure out how to get through the poltline as an evil SOB as compared to the light-mastery option.

Try kicking the Handmaiden's butt in a controlled situation.  That'll actually get you some influence as long as you're not belligerent about it (ask her to teach you some combat moves when she's practicing in the Ebon Hawk's cargo hold).

She also likes you to be a nice guy, so when you're feeling benevolent have her in the party with you.

LOL... right now she just says "I ain't talkin to you, get the hell outta my face you bastage." I can't even ask her to fight.

Oh, BTW... I made a save point at the place where you get the guy to do the 'unequipped bungie jump'.

Damn!  I've never pissed any of my companions off to that degree!  I'm kind of envious. I wish I could've shut Carth up all through the first KoTOR.

And yeah, saving near that spot is a great stress reliever...I find the fatal plummet to be...soothing...

There's something called "The Kreia effect". Basically if Kreia is in the party the way you influence people changes. I don't understand exactly how it works, as i never looked into it. I just hated her so much I never had her with me.  Once you get into the game, you'll find there are a lot, a LOT of stories they wanted to tell but ran out of time to put in. The game is sorely missing some parts.


Not the fault of Obsidian, however.  They got kinda screwed scheduling wise it seems.

Yeah, I noticed that too when I did a quest on Nar Shaddaa, then died stupidly and tried the same thing with Kreia in the party.  I sad something to her, and got influence with Atton, where I hadn't before.

I'm at the climax.  So far, I have to say it's as good as the first KoTOR.  It doesn't so much feel like stuff is 'missing' per se, but more like it's only AS good as the first, not better....still an incredible game, but I'll bet the devs were more ambitious than that.

I find Mira, Mandalore, and the Handmaiden fascinating.  Would liked more of all three of 'em.

What about the HK's? Ever tried to pursue them? Go ahead, I dare you! 

Also, if you're at the climax you're not at the end. The end is everything but climactic. One you beat the game you'll know what I mean.

The more I say the more I sound like I hate it, but I really had a great time playing it, I just wanted another "Game of the Year".

I just beat it.  I found it climactic, but I coulda used more of a wrap-up.

I don't so much mind the loose ends.  Good fodder for a sequel. ;D
