An offending player is on Mirror Mirror flying an illegal ship in center nebula hexes..

He is in a New Heavy Cruiser.. currently taking his 3rd mission in middle map nebula hexes...

Right click on his name shows New Heavy Cruiser... which is a Miranda hull.. most Miranda hulls are New Heavy Cruisers..

Here is a screen shot of me notifying him, then a screen shot of the news showing the attacked hexes..

Can someone please notify him on voice or text Fed channels of the ruling of the center nebula hexes.

He did not respond to the on screen message plus he re-entered mission.. most probably in the same hex.

Both SomeGuyOnDrugs and I were waiting in the Black Hole hex for him to come back and attack.. I checked news just as he came out of mission and it displayed 20,10 being attacked by Federation.. the DV of 20,10 is at 4, but that is not  in discussion as anyone could have dropped the DV of the hex..

This is the same conversation I was trying to have yesterday that got blown out of Proportion.. however People don't seem to understand that a New Heavy Cruiser will sometimes give a CL map marker, but the ship yards and the right click on a persons name shows the ship as it truely is.. listed as a New Heavy Cruiser (and in the Heavy Cruiser section of the ship description UI screen)..

For clairification..

No matter what the color of the hexes in the center of the map between the colums of Astroid Hexes on each side, no HC or bigger ship can enter the nebula hexes.. only CL's and smaller may enter the hex.. to determine if a ship is a CL or HC.. right click on the ship in the ship yards and look at what section the selection is in.. the bottom of the screen will state Light Cruiser or Heavy Cruiser.. OR after purchasing a ship, right click on your name, it will tell you the class of ship you are flying.. see the image below, Reejr is flying a New Heavy Cruiser, not a Light Cruiser...

Heavy Cruisers and up can only travel ONLY in the black hole hexes that span between the colums of astroid hexes in the center of the map.

Nebula Hexes that are on the inside of your initial territory ONLY can be entered by any ship.. But In CENTER OF MAP nebula nexes are off limits to Heavy Cruisers and up no matter what race or color the hex is.

SomeGuyOnDrugs is still on the Mirror Mirror server and should post here in a moment with the screen shots of the ship Reejr is flying and continued assaults in the news reports on illegal hexes.

Situation resolved by parties concerned.  The violating Federation player was going by the icon marker of his ship on the map and was unaware that a Miranda hull was considered a heavy cruiser.  When he was drafted and informed he did the honorable thing and self destructed his ship.  I personally vouch for the honor and integrity of this player and know it to be an honest mistake rather than any deliberate violation.  Pesty was quite correct in bringing this to the attention of all so that the problem would not be repeated by other players unintentionally.  Thanks Pesty.

Ok sorry to all for my misunderstanding of the hull class on the ships. I thought it was only no ca hull class ships not cl hull class ships even though when I bought the ship it said new heavy class ship. The board marker said my class hull was cl. So I didn't think anything was wrong. Now that I know it will not happen again. Reejr

I would have made the same mistake and probably have. I also go by the makers in the hex.. Thanks for clearing that up for us Pesty.. And great to be playing with honorable players and it will be the reason i continue flying on the D2's where you all fly <S>

<Treknobabble explanation>
It's not the hull class that causes the greater disturbances in the Rift. It's the warp engines. The warp engines on on a New Heavy are just as powerful and have just as great an effect on Subspace as do the ones on older CAs, so you end up with the same effect, the rift being more destabilized. Because neither side has determined any safe way to take heavier ships into the less stable areas of the rift, and in light of the facts that the results have been disastrous across two universes and resources are needed for the conflict, no further attempts have been made by either side to learn how to modify larger warp drives to safely traverse the less stable areas of the rift.

Hi,  Also didn't realise,  But what I have noticed is the AI still puts ships in the nebula that are CA and 'New heavy' CL class against the ordinary CL. Its a shame the game can't play by the same rules as well.
