Did I ever release these Feds...?
« on: June 10, 2005, 10:50:45 pm »
I found these in my Documents, and can't recall if I ever actually released them:

the FCL Corpus Christi

and the FCLE Knoxville

I made them right at the end of my last foray into modelmaking...

Hope that helps.

I use the Knoxville as the NSC scout. Great model. The AWACS style sensor dish is just too cool of an idea. I'm really looking forward to seeing some new stuff from you.

Could you post the links here in this thread?  Sifting through battleclinic's archive of Fed ships is becoming time consuming.

Maybe someone should re-organize the ships at battleclinic according to race and class.

Maybe someone should re-organize the ships at battleclinic according to race and class.

They are organized by race. If there is no folder for a particular race it goes into the OTHER folder. If you wish a folder created for a specific race just ask Mr.Cue and he'll hook it up. Though it might be a good idea to catagorize the ships by Race, then by Era IE: ENT(PreTOS),TOS,TMP,TNG,FUTURE TECH, etc. That might narrow down the search parameters. Time was ya had to go surfing all over the net just to find ships, now they're all in one place, so I for one don't mind going through all the pages.  ;D

What I meant was that after you select a race, you are brought to a screen where you select class (frigate, destroyer, light cruiser, etc.).  The races that only have a few ships wouldn't need this, of course.  I think it would be better to subdivide the races by class than by era because the game already subdivides ships this way, and some ships can be included in multiple eras and count as one class in one era and another class in another era.  If you want do divide them by era as well, I would recommend it be race>era>class.  This would especially help people navigate throught the federation section, which currently has over 800 ships.

The problem with adding era/class flags is that not all ships belong definatley in 1 era, and some ships may belong to more than 1 class.
Even if i did one day get round to adding a class/era flag who would go through the 2530 models already submitted and sort them out?

There is a search function which you can use if you know the author or title of the model.

LOL Actually I'm crazy enough too, so if you wanted to do something like that sir, I'd do it for ya if you wanted. First I'd get the ships of KNOWN eras sorted then onece in those folders perhaps add CA,DD,FF etc in front of the respective ship name in ( ) so as to get them all grouped together and still be alphabetical. As for the ships that cross timelines.......... if there's a known, or given stardate for "In service" of the ship, then it goes to said era reguardless if it continued on past that era, UNLESS it's say a TNG upgrade etc........ For the ones not truly defined, I gues I'd use my best judgement. But again I am volunteering to do it for ya, heck I've personally catagorized about 3 times as many as are posted on Battleclinic in my own personal collection. I'd actually have fun doing it for ya.
