Archos PVP/PVR systems

Has anybody had a chance to mess around with the Archos PVP/PVR systems?  I find them somewhat intriguing and may be in the market for one.  While the current models all seem to have smaller screens (3.5 inch), Archos has just announced a larger screen model (7 inch) called the AV700.  I'm kinda curious how it's going to stack up...

Anybody have experience with these things?

I haven't had experience with the Archos units, but I have put DIVX encoded movies on a microdrive and watched them on an HP IPAQ 2215 Pocket PC.  The quality was acceptable.  The encoding was not too difficult, but it was time consuming.  There are free utilities out on the Web which will enable you to do this.  Check out:
