"the child" by by Jean-Pierre & Luc Dardenne won the coveted Palme d'Or this year.

i was especially pleased to see that "Broken Flowers" by Jim Jarmusch won the Grand Prix award as he is one of my favorite directors. he did "ghost dog" and "deadman" with johnny depp.
