Mackie, nice ship.  I'd love to download it, but I don't see a link.

And, no, you modeling skills are impressive.

Very nice, looks kinda like a transition ship b/t the Ambassador and Galaxy class. It looks really good dude.

I agree with Victory.  It looks like a Galaxy prototype.  Good job.

To me, it looks like a predescessor to the Galaxy-class rather than being a prototype of, as the U.S.S. Galaxy herself is just like her sister ships, although when I saw the two views of the untextured render of this model some years ago (and sketched a drawing back then of what I thought she looked like), I just thought it was some mass-producable Galaxy-class prototype, some new class designed to be easier or more resource-friendly.  I pondered what happened to this model, and am finally pleased to see her again, and she is beautiful.  I think you did a wonderful job on her, and hope upon her release that she has hardpoints ready for SFC2.

thanks yall but them all thanks should be going to LC amaral (Sp) for texturing the ship so ifinally could get it out. its pretty much done now , ive added pylon side phasers and and tweaked the textures around a bit at points (twists and stretches due my modeling ;p). theres still one problem with the textures (Again due my modeling) but i hope to be able to solve it sooner or later, a day or two.

What I meant by "prototype" was that it looks like a concept design for the Galaxy class.  You've seen some of the Intrepid prototype models, haven't you?  I figured this would fit in the same category.

Well yeah, you have a point there now that I think of it that way rather than being stuck in the ST universe way of thinking.  I remember some concept drawings of the Ent-D and a prototype model that was closer to the final design (but not quite there yet)...

Looks real nice, Mackie. You and LC did a splendid job.

As far as it's lineage goes, I see possibly a Galaxy era (or slightly later) CC. To each his own, I guess. ;)
