Looking good so far,but isn't that a weapons pod on top of the secondary hull?

I have no clue what that is up top, i think of it of some kind of sensor pod, not sure what the original modeler wanted it to be.

This is a strike carrier so I'd bet its an AWACS style tactical sensor of some kind.

Here is a pic of the PHYSICAL model that was actually built:

CGI model:

More BACKGROUND material about this ship's use during the Fed-Kziniti conflicts may be found here:

I retextured the Illustrious once too using DTW's Maguellenes, Pataflafla's Northampton (USS Keyhole), P81's Connie and textures from Moonraker's USS Redmond  but I think Fourteen is on to something here.

it's an oddball for sure. Going to grab this one. What are thsoe red things sticking out of the sides of the saucer? They look too big to be docking ports.

i would call them docking ports also, might be over sized to allow the fighters to dock at them also.

on another note been having probelms with my router, and long days at work, so i have not been able to post any pictures of the Pennsylvania class that i was working on. I hope to have it up by the weekend, depending on how long it takes me to help a freind move houses
