mirror mirror testing
« on: May 18, 2005, 01:21:56 pm »
me and tel were flying coop on a klink planet/base hex, he drafted me.
we captured both defender ships and could not self destruct them.
then we cap both shipyards and one of the starbases and of course the planet.
it says i made 1954 pres, but it didnt give it to me.
twice this happened and he drafted me both times.
he got all the cash and i got all the glory i guess :)
was just letting the powers that be know
thanks

the NCV has a fighter bug, as probably does the other carrier.  Either you can get the fighters but they dont show in mission, or you cant even get the fighters, and they dont show in mission.  Same as when we were testing the GW5.

I only got the NCV fighter bug when flying the red feds.  With the blue feds I was able to load up and use the fighters just fine.

Host getting the only payout is not new to a server. Someone else may better be able to explain the "why" of it.

The mission are broken but we've no scripters to fix them.

Solution:  suck it up.

if you're in similar sized ships and have good connections, try swapping with your wing as to who drafts, on an alternating basis.

On previous servers (GW5 comes to mind) the planet assaults paid BOTH players, I don't see the reason now this should start.
I know it didn't pay the drafted player in these missions, I was the one drafting.  ;)
And I've never had issues with drafting, so that isn't it, either.

The actual chance of succesfully being able to attack a planet (using LOS rules) means that this should largley be a non issue
For one side to establish and maintain the chain of bases needed for the attack would pretty much mean a blow-out anyway.
