Star Wars - No Spoilers Please!
« on: May 16, 2005, 08:22:35 pm »
I am looking forward to seeing this movie as soon as possible. Has anyone seen it or read any reviews? I'd like to know if it is any good, but I don't want to learn all the details. I've already heard too many and I am trying to see the movie before I see and hear everything.

Here in Chihuahua it starts at 1201 a.m. on May 19 and will be running on most of the cinemas for 24/7! I'm going to try to get into the VIP section of the theater as most Chihuahuans cannot afford it, they go to the normal parts of the theater. What I mean by that is VIP is it's own screens and a completely different atmosphere, captains chairs, tables, waiters, finer food (not that popcorn or nachos or candy crap) and ANY drinks you desire!  ;D

I've read the book, and can tel you if they let you see a tenth of what is going on in the book, it's going to be one of the richest plotlines in SW- forgone conclusion or not.

I've read two newspaper reviews so far. Both have said it is FAR better than Eps I & II and one even went so far as to say it is arguably better than Ep VI.

Dare we hope?

Again, having read what's going to happen already, it's going to be incredible.

It'll easially outdo I and II, and the claim that it'll rival VI is very accurate. I say that it can actually beat it out, if Hayden Christensen does a good job with playing Darth Vader.

If the movie is 1/2 as good as the book - the movie will OWN.

Jaime's Correct, I've read the book, and It's Fantastic. Once again, the secondary Characters really make up for eps. 1 and 2.

Star Wars.com SUCKS, they have already released stories behind the characters, and yes, I already know how the movie will go, WITHOUT SEEING THE MOVIE YET OR READING THE BOOK!  :banghead:

George Lucas should have kept EVERYTHING top secret until May 19th, IMO...

Uhm... Jack...

We all do, especially since it's a prequel. ;D ;)

Sorry that you saw too much and got it spoiled. Trust me, though, there are some interesting things that happen that won't be covered to the letter on the site, and they'll be good enough.

The scene that got me was when Chewy, while going through the Pon Phar, ripped off C3P0's head to use as a condom. After he was done shagging Lando's dead grandmother, Chewy simply stuck it back on C3PO's shoulders. They explained that that how C3PO got that wide-eyed, shocked expression.  ;D ;D ;D

Well, of course it is.  But is it better than Ep V?

Having not seen the movie yet (gimme about 28hours - going to a 12:01 showing thurs am)... but it very well could be close to as good as Empire.
