Kolchak returns

The Night Stalker will be back on the air with a new series this fall.

And yes, I'm old enough to have watched the original with Darin McGavin...

September's schedule will also include "Hot Properties," a comedy about four women who work in a Manhattan real estate office, and a remake of the short-lived 1970s occult series "Kolchak: The Night Stalker."

I remember Kolchak too, and remember being scared half to death as a kid watching him take on werewolves and vampires. No other show was as creepy until X-Files came along in the 90s.

I can't wait!  :woot:

Lets hope the casting is good.  I like the new Kojak show, but  Ving Rhames just isn't quite right for Kojak.  Every time I see him, all I see is thug.  The rest of the casting was good, and Ving does a decent job, but I guess Telly Savalas really marked that show.
Any ideas who is playing Kolchak?

Ah yes, the days of single-digit age, curled up in my Grandparents's living room, watching Kolchak chase monsters, scared to death to  walk back to the dark stairwell to go up to the bed......

Such pleasant memories.

I'll try to catch the remake.  I hope it can live up to my memories.   :D

Stuart Townsend's playing Kolchak?  The guy who was Lestat in the gosh-awful Queen of the Damned movie?  Well, there goes about half of the charm of the original show.

"Chaos Theory, Part II" now available.
