Which volume has your favorite User Interface?

Actually, mine goes back to Volume I, where not only the Targeting Interface but the Menus changed with each race.

Yeah, all the racial UI's in 1 were great. I think that was one of the more disappointing (aside from the D2 not being there) things about SFC2 for me (so you can imagine the horror of SFC3 when all screen were the same, lol.) I think it added a lot to the feel of the game, like you were always existing as part of that race when you were in game. Now, I liked some of the additions to the in game UI, that made it easier to play the game, and added a few functions, but the flavor of SFC1 has still been unmatched. Not even close.

What I miss most about SFC1 is the music for all the races, especially Klingon. If someone could find a way to put that music in OP I'd be a hasppy guy.

Generally, the fleet control UI in SFC2 was much better than the one in SFC1. However, I really miss the option to tell your fleet member to go "here" (point to a spot on the screen), and STAY THERE, out of the way. That was something SFC1 got right.

I liked the Federation and the Lyran screens. The music and presentation in SFCI definitely added great atmosphere for each of the races. The best music is the Romulans. :marches aways humming tune:
