U.S.S. Resurrection....
« on: May 07, 2005, 11:01:55 am »
Here's an upgrade to the Mark 6 Constitution. This version of the Mark 6 mainly features some new textures, both from some of WZ's other ships and some provided by Outalance.

New saucer lightmaps done by Manitoba. He was able to figure out a way to combine two different lightmaps into one, so not only could I get a spotlight on the registries, but the windows now actually light up.

New registries done by myself.

Only changes done to the mesh are the addition of an extra pair of impulse engines, a new rear-facing quantum torpedo launcher for added fire-power, and a warp joint for the nacelles on the standard refit. The new impulse engines and torpedo launcher were taken from the Lethality.

This refit is still set in the early 25th Century, so additional firepower is needed if this ship is going to be able to fly with the state-of-the-art big boys.

I will be releasing the NX variant and the custom variant with the Refit Constitution nacelles soon.

This bash was approved by WZ himself, so everyone, please leave comments.

And some people wonder why I used WZ's models instead of the other Connie models out there.

Also, thanks has to go to NASA for the background images.  And when I say NASA, I do mean the National Aeronautics and Space Administration.

I just wish I knew how to do special effects with Max to enhance my renders.

Currently she's still a WIP.  Her specs now have to be redone, and then that should complete her.  I've been having problems trying to modify the mapping of the nacelles.  Since I don't know jack sh*t about mapping textures or remapping, I can't really do it.  Each side of the nacelles use the exact same file, so creating a registry for one side will automatically be mirrored onto the other side.  Sucks really.  Oh well.
