I need help doing Hardpoints and UI's
« on: May 02, 2005, 11:50:45 am »
Ya know, I have downloaded and begain work on some models that were put up for general use but am beginning to realise that there is more to these things than conversion and slapping textures on....

The point of this topic is how do you go about doing hardpoints and UI's with the utilities? Are there any good tutroials out there?

Thanks for your help!

I've done very little hardpoint work with ship models.  What I was taught is to just take an existing model, import it into Max or Milkshape, or whatever program you have, delete the model itself but keep the hardpoints and damage points if you want those too, then import the model you want to hardpoint.

Begin to re-position, one by one, the hardpoints onto the model you're working on at the places on the model you want them to, keeping note where you put which hardpoint, such as hardpoint 1, hardpoint 2, and so on.

You'll need the SFC Hardpoint editor as well, which you have I'm assuming.

Which ship are you trying to complete, just out of curiosity.
The pen is truly mightier than the sword.  And considerably easier to write with.

First question is what are you doing it in (what program)
Second question what status is the ship in (Hps already there DPs, or none at all)
Third Question What game are you doing it for (SFC 1 and 2 are the same, SFC 3 is very different)
People always said they wanted the government to listen to them and now the government is listening, taking notes and names...and coming to see you soon!
