I think it was "Firefly" and actually a good little show for its very short run on the air.

Yes, the T.V. show was Firefly, the ship's name is "Serenity" named after a valley that the Browncoats were trying to hold against the alliance, but were defeated.  Serenity is a Firefly class vessel, thus the name of the series.  It is hands down one of the best T.V. shows created in my lifetime, imo. I just hope they didn't "Hollywood" it up too much, but I guess we'll see.  :D
