No, Alec, they're not retextures.  The models have been modified and are included in the BC pack.

Rat Boy...........not to get off topic but I just finished reading your story and I loved it !!!!!!!! My hat goes off to you. I can't wait to read the rest. Great work of fiction and I love the way you incorporated canon Trek into it.

I was never much of a fan of Shatner's explanation of how the Mirror Universe came about--I thought that 200 years wasn't nearly enough to explain the differences between the universes, particularly the savagery of the Terrans.  Diane Duane did it a lot better, going all the way back to Shakespeare...

Ironically, according to the Mirror Phlox, Shakespeare isn't all that different in the Mirror Universe.  I guess a story like Macbeth wouldn't need too much tweaking to make it fit in that reality.

Ironically, according to the Mirror Phlox, Shakespeare isn't all that different in the Mirror Universe.  I guess a story like Macbeth wouldn't need too much tweaking to make it fit in that reality.

Here's what Diane Duane wrote in "Dark Mirror" about Shakespeare (Just skip this part if you don't want to be spoiled from a twelve-year-old book.):

Quote
Picard swallowed, his throat gone dry, more betrayed by the black ink on the yellowed page than by anything that had happened to him so far.  He turned the pages and found what frightened him more second by second: a Shakespeare horribly changed in all but the parts that were already horrible.  Titus Andronicus was much as it had been.  So was Macbeth, and oddly, Lear; but Picard paged through the latter and breathed out unhappily, almost a moan, to find one small part missing: that of Cornwall's "first servant," who tries to protect old Gloucester from having his eyes plucked out and is immediately killed--a matter of a
few lines in the original, now gone completely.  And the other two servants gone dumb, and not even a single voice raised, now, to protest the old man's fate at the hands of Lear's hateful daughter and her husband.

And seeing that there's a lot of tragedy and death in Shakespeare's work (stop me if I'm wrong, it's been years since I've ever read any of his work), I would tend to agree as well.

Haven't read it in forever, and don't even seem to have the book anymore  :-\, but didn't she go so far as to write an entire speech from the Mirror "Merchant of Venice?"  Always meant to compare it to the original, but haven't found the book since I got the complete Shakespeare back in grad school...  ;)

I believe she did write such.  I could quote it but I'd have to find where my puppy carried it around last time.  I'm afraid she'll tear my copy apart. *sigh*

Just retexing the P81 SFC NX01 with the BC Textures works

ent5 requires a bit of editing, but it's very simple to fix with MSPaint

Yea but there quite a few little details that have being re-mapped that wont show up on the old model. A few areas have bieng tweaked for authenticity also. But yea this is a good short term solution, but seeing the new model ingame with its new skin is something  :P lol.

So, did anyone ever bother asking permission to convert the whole NX pack over to SFC?

LC Amaral and Mark are the primary creators I believe and SHOULD be asked before releasing an SFC version of the pack.
