Sith and Wookie land
« on: April 23, 2005, 12:41:02 pm »
“Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith”

20th Century Fox
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Starring: Ewan McGregor, Natalie Portman, Hayden Christensen, Christopher Lee, Samuel L. Jackson, Frank Oz, Ian McDiarmid, Jimmy Smits, Anthony Daniels, Kenny Baker, Peter Mayhew

Director: George Lucas

Story: Anakin Skwalker (Christenson) begins his journey to the dark side in this film that serves as a bridge to the original “Star Wars.” The clone wars are nearing an end and Obi-Wan (McGregor) must bring Clone General Grievous to justice. Meanwhile Chancellor Palpatine (McDiarmid) proclaims himself emperor, turning the Republic into the Galactic Empire. He draws Anakin into embracing the dark side of the force. Anakin finds himself at odds with Senator Amidala (Portman), his secret and very pregnant wife.

Buzz: In an informal survey of our readers, this film ranked as the most anticipated film of 2005. Lucas has a long journey to turn Anakin Skywalker into Darth Vader in the course of two plus hours. The new trilogy has been rather disappointing, but fans aren’t ready to give up on Lucas or the “Star Wars” mythology just yet. The film will feature the Wookie homeland and Luke and Leia as infants.

I'm psyched.  I enjoyed the first two prequels immensely (probably because I was expecting Star Wars, not Star Wars the way I would imagine it which is probably why a lot of people were dissapointed) and Episode III looks like it's going to be a worthy culmination of the movie's storyline.

Plus, I'm seeing it at 12:01 AM, just after the date switches.  Already got tickets. ;D

There are more things in heaven and earth, and in the sky, than perhaps can be dreamt of. And somewhere in between heaven, the sky, the earth, lies the Twilight Zone."

I saw Ep1 right after school (was in Highschool and had a test that day - couldnt go to 12:01 showing).  fitting 6 people in a Chevette was amusing.

Saw Ep2 12:01 - doing the same for Ep3.

Also going to take time that weekend to go to the ONE full digital theatre and see EP3 in full digital.

It opens up with a great Space fight where Obi Wan and Annie are trying to Rescue a Kidnapped Senator Palpitine.

End Hilight.

Minor Edit, apparently even Black text show up here.

I appreciate the offer, but with the exception of reading the treatment so many years ago (back in the day they tell me) I'm going into the threater as fresh as possible.

Well, when it finally makes it to Hicksville, I'll go see it.  I really only have one ambition about this movie:  Please let us see Queen Amidala breast feeding her babies...
