Now lets see, what can be classed as fun
1 killing all the players on the map, I know iantheace would love that
2 who can come up with the best insults? I know we all could do very well in that department, so it wil be hard to have an outcome or some sort of victory, unless we take into account how many players get their butts kicked off the forum and give them the victory.
3 Or we could utilize the basic principals of sfc and the game. A quest for a treasure that will give universal supremacy to the victors. A game of diplomacy, where alliances can be forged on the map during the game, A game of strategy, where making the right decisions leads to the desired result. Where the capture of a neutral planet or base gives clues to better further your quest. A game where all races are included and the Pirate AI’s are hard to kill.
Quite simply set up the server so all races are allied except for pirates. Victory condition ( for the main races) can be the conquest of all the Pirate bases and home world and for the pirates the conquest of one (any one ) of the main race home worlds. The pirates HW can be in the center of the map and the Main race worlds on the borders of the map, evenly spaced from the Pirate HW. Use the line of supply rule only.
Object is easy , stop the pirates from taking a HW before they lose theirs. And defiantly use X ships
I think 3 sounds to hard to do, we should take the easy way and stick to option 1 or 2 or mayby options 1 and 2
Please excuse the lack of detail in my idea of fun, it took me 5 mins to come up with it, so I havn’t realy given it much thought, I am sure option 3 could be refined with some thought time. I wil join in on anything that gets decided
