I would rather the 2 captains get togher with the admin on voice comms and pick their players like a pick-up game of Basketball.
This is the easiest and fairest way to go.
If your gonna do a totally balanced draft then do the names in a pot and have a non-playing admin divide them solo. We will still see problems that occur with the "nutter" syndrome swaying from side to side ( back off, Kroma). But overall this may be the neighborhood get-together server we seem to be needing.
I disagree, DH, playing "Captains" on 2 sides will continue certain attitudes some think have led to our woes, and it really makes the server more fun when you have to battle your last commander and normal wing man in a 2 vs 1! (Again Kroma, please remain silent)
Allowing the draft to be totally anonymous completely deletes any ideas of "this guy flys 50 A.I. missions in 2 hours" or the "this pilot gets 3 PvP kills a day" conflictions. And Hexx won't have to live with being Picked LAST.
Just my viewpoint, but I'm willing to try any suggestions because I love this game and enjoy it so much.

I would tend to agree, but given the luck we have, we'd end up with all the hex-flippers on one side, and all the PvPers on the other. What could be a solution is to have a pre-draft signup with an indication of which role a player is better at, and split them into two hats. Have the admin pull equally from each for both sides.
For example: Hexx does the draft: he pulls out of the PvP hat and gets Kreug. He goes to the Mirror Feds. Next, he'll pull another PvP'er and draws Die Hard, who goes to the Good Guys. Next round, he pulls a hex flipper from that hat and gets Soreyes, who goes to the Good Guys, while another hex flipper, say Gook, is pulled next and goes to the Mirror Feds. Rinse and repeat as necessary.
Naturally, it's not a perfect solution as some guys excel in both areas, like Chuut and War Sears, but it would still be luck of the draw who gets them.
