As you can clearly see, only the very wealthy got in on Genentech's news as it was all released BEFORE the bell. Try calling YOUR broker and asking for a before the bell purchase, if you are not a millionaire or "friend" of the firm then you will probably get laughed at and told to wait for the market to open on normal trading hours.  >:(

If I was running the show as chair of SEC, FD (Fair Disclosure) would have to be released AFTER the opening bell, probably around 9 a.m. P.T. so that ALL Americans are up and at em.  ;D

I do salute the U.S. District judge yesterday for making his decision regarding Eli Lilly at 5:50 E.T. so that ALL time zones could participate in after the closing bell trading hours, and most brokerage firms offer that service now for EVERYONE.
