If we're noting AI allies as well, I had a cople of Gorn AI wings(CM and something else--BD variant?) in my fight with Hexx as well, and I think he had a couple of AI Rom wings as well, but I dont remember what type they were.

Nails little you-know-what killed my CB with his SUB and Dreadnought AI support.


Oh, and um yeah I hit the self-destruct button and the server connection was lost so I went and self-destructed the ship and then waited for the FFB to close so I could get out of that specialty ship the server put me in, then took the FFB into a mission against a Rom AI carrier KVD or something like that and it blew me up with a mine to finish me off.  Then got an FFLR and the server went all crazy.  Ship in shipyards disappeared, couldn't move, and couldn't resupply my FFLR.

Poor ship...the roms won't even fight it...they said it's not worth their time.  Oh well.

No AIs involved in either battle.

Was a good game indeed.    One thing I'm learning playing Gorn, is that during a high-speed plasma ballet match, you must watch where the map borders are.   I got cornered in there at the end and had to make a bad tactical move, or fly off the map.

Kaz got trapped in the corner by the DNH and had to disengage but some of his fighters stayed to make some serious internals at poor Kroma's DNH who got panic and didnt know what to do and starting shooting normal s torps to kill the 2 squads  some f torps from the RHK followed  as well as 1ss landing at his front shield.
Oh well i couldnt continue the match as i was lmao (i had KAZ on ventrillo laughing too) and i disengaged after got trapped in the corner.

Deadman was a sarcifical lamb in a dirt cheap HWD, there to distract KAZ's fighters while I escorted him to the border as quickly as possible. No point waiting around doing it slow, as we all know KAZ will head out as soon as he loses his first shield. all your guys efforts did about 20 internal to me, before I sent you off the border with you tail between your legs.

BTW just curious, do Romulan's have testicles?   <snicker>

So anyway, here's the rest of the story for our listening audience...

I get a yell (and, btw, I do mean YELL) from DieHard along the lines of "Green, draft me in 6,11".  (Please note, I have accurately represented DH's demenor when he asks a player to join him for a battle of gaming goodness). 

Anyway, I do exactly as I have been told, after all I've flown with DH on a countless number of dynas under his command, and lo-and-behold across the stars I see none other then Hexx's name appear...so I know exactly what I want to do.

So off I go, at max speed, with a level 3 tractor, straight at what I believe to be Hexx.  DH, meanwhile, is yell ... I mean asking me to slow down and stick with him so he can charge and then we can go in together.  Screw that I think ... this is Hexx ... Kill him is GO1 in the Alliance camp (and the KBF camp, but I won't go there). 

Anyway, I go off helter-skelter looking for Hexx and I see a SK-whatever (Hexx was flying an X frig) and I go fulll-bore, don't-give-a-rat's-ass-what-happens-next-as-long-as-I-kill-Hexx charge.  A couple of minutes later the ship I grab is dead.  Blowed-up.  I am grinning (because I know I have now done humanity a service). 

Unfortunately ... unbeknownst to me, that wasn't Hexx ... he was actually in the other ship (that I thought was AI) in the background and, of course, immediately taking "defensive action" (aka running to the border).

Totally bummed (mainly because I have to now hear DH yel ... I mean ... critique me ... on the finer points of staying with my wingman).

In the end, Hexx ran.  But it would have been nicer if I could have posted Hexx died.

But what lightened my spirites was talking on TS2 and hearing DH exclaim to the rest of the pilots "Green thought Hexx was the AI" and everyone else commenting... "Honest mistake, you really can't tell the difference anyways."

Perhaps he had to kill a couple of ai first thinking they were you Hexx       An honest mistake......
