You can also interprete the letter of the rule that way too. It makes no mention of the planet having to be on map, and since the map is just a section of the full F&E map it is known where the other planets are. Thus my interpretation that Feds could still place bases. By this interpretation though they could only place them alone the original fed occupied map edge.

No it wouldn't as my point was with regard to the current situation and the fact that the previously placed base might be considered legally placed.

However, I still leave it up to Krueg to decided how to handle it. You have been very intent on denying the Federation players the ability to play on the server, even though no VCs were at issue. If this is how you prefer to finish out the last few days we will abide, just say the word and we will leave you to your AI.

Apparently, The Feds have decided to throw the rulebook out the window and have already rotted fur to flip a Gorn base Fed. They've also all bought PF tenders.

Is that the way we wish to play? We can all play that way if you'd like.
A terrible end to a fine series of servers.

Apparently, The Feds have decided to throw the rulebook out the window and have already rotted fur to flip a Gorn base Fed. They've also all bought PF tenders.

So the feds get wiped out ....basically we isolate you from assistance to your war effort. Simple. The feds have to log on and fight as gorn for a few days.....WHY is this so hard to accept?The board was laid out and 1 side eliminated they fight as gorn. Again simple. Now we have fed players all flying NHPs and ignoring disengagement rule.....This is what you want to achieve? Suck it up and fly Gorn.I find it quite ironic that for all the bi**ching about mid server rule changes that this would have been done

Hey DH.. It was me.. My appologies.. I was in a BCV...

I saw Kroma's post on the alliance conceeding strategically and I took it as a real posting (didn't notice that it said Alliance AI surrenders), which meant to me that the server was now FUN.. as such, I made a Gorn account and went to a Gorn hex with a base and SD'd 10 times to grey it out, logged back in in my Fed account and took the base for Fed as some people came on TS asking why they couldn't come in as Fed and to give us at least 1 supply point..

Now if Kroma's posting was a joke, it should have been posted with a Smily or a notification that it was not a real post.. as such, It may be me breaking the rules if the server is still real...

Anyhow the 1 and only Fed base was being deep struck by Madelf and Krueg, which means that players who want to play Fed, such as myself, respawn deep in Rom space as I have done.. in places like 3, 25 and 5, 22 .. and so on.. If I can't respawn back in my home or allied space, what is the point of playing.. Feds need 1 supply post.. as such I would do it again..

I already posted that it would be a loose interpretation of LOS since it didn't address this issue particularly. I then gave you the option of posting that you didn't want this to be the case and you didn't. If your intention is to create a situation where the feds can't even p[lay on the server, JUST SAY SO.

Without a base to change ships at.. then what the server gives me to fly, I will fly, specialty or not.. If the Feds have at least 1 base, players with Fed accounts can sell the specialty ship that the server assigns them and buy something that is a line ship..  so get over yourself.

In other words.. If you want to keep OOB on specialty ships, then leave 1 fed base.. period.

Stategically, not tactically, and the ship you fly in a particular battle falls in the tactical domain. Geez it is like hearding cats.

Yes and on GW2 they were rewritten along with shiplist chnges, here it is more of a tweak, thanks for pointing that out.

bah lame excuse for the shiplist that was changed for the dbl fighter bug and the player limit for LDR was for and I hate this term "historical accuracy" regarding the LDR sitting out the war in SFB.No more than you guys would've complained if you had us start with slightly superior ships in the middle of your space.Bottm line is why can't they just fly Gorn and except the fact that the Feds are pretty much done on THIS map,there will be time for vengence on the next server.

Dud you are clueless. The rule was in fact rewritten more extensively than this potential change. As to the rational you haven't got a clue either, I was directly involved in the decision and it had nothing to do with historical accuracy that was just the pretense. It had to do with the low Klingon moral as reported by WW, and the fact that Coalition numbers were dismal, which would have resulted in a lame server.
