We did not, we initially talked about removing it when the thought was going SFB pure OOB, I then forgot to but it back on the site when that idea went out the window.

See now here you're wrong.

While the ships may be superior (and I'd argue against it- but I don't understand plasma so I'm very biased)
using CVD's it's all about the fighters.
Fed F18's (assuming they're smart enough to use them instaed of A10s) are far superior at killing Rom fighters
than any Rom fighter is at killing them
(due to the drone use) The CVD's fighters will eliminate the SUB's fighters unless there is a great pilot quality difference.

Does the SUB have the edge? Definitely, I'm not arguing it doesn't. I am arguing that the CVD is not disadvantaged
enough that it's worth a CP to the SUB's 2 BP. The Fed CVP's are a match for the Rom patrol carriers and are worth a CP.
CVD should be worth more.

The SUK, RG-B and FH-B all cost 1 CP and are easily a match if not slightly better than the CVD, no SUB necessary. Should we yank them too?

I'm at work now and I really can afford to donate any of the few brain cells I have to this right now.   I'll be home tonight and figure it out then.    Build something else for now with the right to change it back to a CVD if the CVD stays.

Okay read the rules.  Thought about the CVD.  It's actually fairly straight forward.

The listing in the rules gives examples and is not intended to be complete (it says so explictly).

Therefore, any ship that shows up in the docks with a "s" is a speciality ship.   Any with a "c" is a capital ship.

After about two weeks of the test server being up I think it had a good shake down for boo boos.

So if the CVD is in the shiplist and not restricted AND with a "s" in front of it . . . it's a legal specialty ship build.
