Have had 2 issues already, both the FALR and SBF+ have CTD'd me when trying to look at them in the shipyards.

I believe that was a known issue from last weeks testing, but deemed unworthy of another patch to the Installer. I would suggest viewing ships in shipedit, this is what I do to avoid this.

Alex was not assigned a CAD, he is new and Judge tried to tell him to leave but he wasn't on TS. He has since been informed that those are assigned ships. Let me know if it happens again. He also said he crashed.

I'd also confess to being a complete moron, but since I'm sitting here reinstalling TS at the moment (which appears to have hung up the minute I went into mission), I'll just let the community throw eggs and pies in my general direction.

I'd actually bought a new ship, but wandered too far down to the edge, and should have forfeited. Penalize me as you wish (just don't make me look at that pink web page again, it burns).

Sigh...  I really wanted to play today, but first the ship screw up, and now the system screw up.

When I do get this put back together, I'll get on TS first and ask someone to assist me in making sure I don't lock up when I go into mission.

I especially liked the part where hitting any key on the keyboard fired drones. That was interesting. And the LOUD chop chop chop of the hung audio from TS. TheJudge said something about everyone yelling, but I couldn't hear a thing because of the TS lockup.

Well, it will be at least a couple of hours, then you can abuse me face to face again.

Okay perhaps time for a rule on this . . . .


If a pilot is flying a Capital Ship or a Speciality Ship that he/she/Kroma has not been assigned THEN:

-   All kills by that ship are null and void.

-   The killing of said illegal ship is null and void with regard to OoB and VCs.

- Anyone who repeatedly breaks the assigned ships rules will be escorted to Kroma's Stateroom and baned.

Whether the kill counts is not Our main concern.

The destruction of a Federation ship is always glorious.   Points be damned.   The Glory of the Empire is all that matters.

If a pilot is flying a Capital Ship that he has not assigned to himself first by noting it here:

No Gorn pilot may assign a ship to himself unless he is merely taking back out of docks a ship I have previously assigned him. This is the official Gorn policy on assignment authority.

I suggest Roms and Feds post who has assignment authority for their teams as well.

PS, assigning point to kills of an unassigned OoB ship is a bad idea, I can think of a very easy way to exploit this rule and swing the VC balance (i.e. PvP rotting fur)

I think it is how we handled it on the past GW servers.   Also, any purposeful screwing around will be delt with accordingly.  I'm not going to penalize any side if someone is purposefully trying to screw up.

If every side can monitor their own yards it should be OK.
ie if we see someone bid on a FFH-K we'll check out who's online and who's buying it.
If the Feds see someone place a bid on a CAD they can do the same thing etc.

I think it's for the best if it's internally monitored, let's face it if VP's are close at the end and one
side has "new" players flying ships they aren't supposed to, it's going to cause issues.
