Plasma X's seemed pretty well balanced...

What about other races?   While the plasma X's get upgrades to the types of plasma   (ie.CMX has 2 R's, 2 S's), what does say, the F-CLX get?  I see 2 extra phaser 1's, but the same photon load out.  196 BPV compared to 260 of the CMX.

The CLX is a DH creation for this server, as a rough equavilant to the HDX and SPX NOT the CMX which is where the CX matches up.

The thing to keep in mind about a fed ship having a lower BPV though is that it doesn't include the fast drone cost or combat effectiveness.

CMX is a Heavy, CLX is a light.   Compare the Fed CLX to the G-HDX and R-SPX.   that is more accurate

I pulled the CLX out of my ass, that is a DH ship.  it has 6 Photons jeff, time to get your eyes checked

Not positive, but I think he mean X ships with plasma in general, NOT the Plasma X weapon.

  Yes. I like the non Taldren X ships that are used on the Dyna but I would like to seea few changes made to them.I haven't played with them that much.

Plasma X and Plasma E are just fine. They were the only X-Weapons Taldren got right IMO.

Didnt mind them-- actually LOVED to fly the romulan SKX...fantastic little DD..

My only comment about X ships-- even the little Frigs is they make just about every other ship obsolete... My guess is I can beat about any fed HC hell other then carries and BCF/BCG/BCJ by using a X class DD(frig)..

X Frigs --- really were fun to fly and great to use vs PF's and fighters

Bit late to the discussion (Heavy work schedules been keeping me occupied) but I disagree, the older ships with good power curves I think can give many of the GW5 X-ships a run for their money.

I like them.  Were the other races also converted?  Is so I want a copy.  I always disliked the X-Ships in SFB and in SFC2:OP because unlike all that went before they were not incremental improvements.   

A K-D7K vs a well played K-D7B but lose without being incompetent.  A K-D7W could only win vs a K-D7X by an improbable level of incompetence on the X ships player. 

Each generation could be beaten by the prior generation, until the X-Ships come along.  Also these X-Ships lack one thing - weaknesses.  In any non X ship you always have vulnerabilities, the X-Ships don't.

 The only 1v1 match I had during GW5 was my DGX vs Shin32's SKX. Although we each had an AI partner, they beat up on each other and stayed out of our fight.  It was a very good match and matchup, ship and player wise. I'd give the nod to the DGX, by a hair.  It was a treat to fly the DGX, I never saw the DDX in the limited amount of time I was online. Sounds like a nice ship though.
