GW5 Beta Patch . . . .

Corrections and p00p like that.   2 MB File, I'm sure Pesty will incorporate it into the installer.


THIS MUST BE INSTALLED OVER THE EXISTING INSTALL!!!!

I installed over existing install and I got a bad crc shiplist error. I have changed nothing since I was on the server yesterday.

I installed patch over the original 14.6meg installer. I've used this big installer since the start. Got bad crc mess.

You shouldn't have to, I didn't on my test system and i logged in fine.


For those who are afraid of F'ing up their systems, wait until Pesty releases a more "user friendly" installer.

I noticed that the shiplist had an early modification day i think 16march even after i installed the update.
So i figured the update installer itself didnt update the sl  and i got the error.
After i run the bat file and then again the update i saw the sl was modified at 27march and then i was able to login.
So i dont think there s something wrong with the server.U might want to check the update installer or we just need to run the bat file?

yeah had to dbl click on GW5 bat shortcut on desktop and logged in fine ..didn't see the shortcut srry for the fuss DH

DH, the way your batch file works, you need to post that before installing the GW5 Update, they need to run the Restore OP + 4 bat file, and then install your update and use the GW 5 bat.... This will prevent the loss of the OP + shiplist and ftrlist.

That is Only with your installer..


With my installer, people only need to use the GW5_Uninstall.exe, then install the GW5_b_Installer.exe

It is almost finished being compiled and I will start upload as soon as it is done.

Well, here it is:

First Uninstall my previous version using GW5_Uninstall.exe located in your Starfleet OP game directory or in your Start -> programs -> GW5 folder..

Make sure you are in OP + 4.0 game mode if using the OP Enhancement Package (Mod Chooser selection if installed correctly)

Then Download and install the following..

http://sfcx.no-ip.com/downloads/mirrors/Pestalence/GW5_b_Install.exe

This will back up all your files correctly and restore them on uninstall.. batch files on desktop to swap game modes between GW 5 and OP + 4.

Game will be in GW 5 mode by default after install.
