D2 Crash to desktop
« on: March 21, 2005, 11:36:27 pm »
I just did a clean install of OP_Enhancement_Package_v3.0.exe using the forum sticky on how to set up for D2 play (unistalled SFCOP first, patched, etc. etc.) and upon pressing Log In to Dynaverse from multiplayer, SFCOP crashes to desktop. I have no funky apps running (basically killed everything from the task manager), the firewall is set up for GameSpy. Running windows XP SP1, no software firewalls, latest sound and vid drivers etc.

Any ideas?

hmmm, isn't this either the bug where you need to make sure that the "Start in Path" for your shortcut is the OP home dir? Or was it soming to do with permissions on the fighterlist?

Thanks anyway. I fixed it. When I was manually editing "WONServerSetup" I neglected to add Name="ServerSetup" to the top the file. SHeesh...Instacrash....

In any case, what is the current directory server? (or is it down?). I have 63.101.60.125:15101

Thx

The OP Enhancement Pack and / or OP + v4.0 already fixes this automatically.. there is no need for you to edit this file if you are using OP Enhancement Package or OP + v4.0.
