Installer does not seem to be working. First attempt, it did not detect OP+ 4 eventhough I have it installed, so I uninstalled and reinstalled OP+ 4. Second attempt, installer fails to detect OP+ 4 install yet again. After that, I gave up. Perhaps that feature could be removed as it does not seem to be working.

Um.. the Installer checks for the Models_Credits.txt file located in the SFC OP opplus folder on your system.. if this file is not in the folder, then you do not have OP + installed correctly.. which is why the installer fails on your system.

I indeed do not have that file on my system, most likely because I have the "No Models" version of OP+ 4 installed, as I am sure a number of people do.  Considering I have gone through the reinstall process for OP+ 4 already, it seems less than likely that the "No Models" version installs that file on one's system.  I am not sure how else you might check whether OP+ 4 is installed, perhaps just checking for the opplus folder might be enough.  Be that as it may, the installer should not be working for those who have chosen the "No Models" option.  I appreciate your work on the installer, but this method of checking for a required installation is not working in this instance.

System Specs:

Dell Dimension E521
AMD64x2 5000+
2G DDR2 RAM
ATI Radeon HD 4850 512MB GDDR3
250GB SATA HD

OK.. I'm rebuilding the installer again and will have it uploaded here in just a bit...

I'm sure that you have the opplus\model.siz file.. I'll have it check for it instead.

Also this new package is going to be 6.90 MB.. I removed the invalid models from the package (tested against Firesoul's Model testing script)...

Also I found 1 model error doing this..

Error: model is MISSING: assets/models/Andro/ships/acl.mod    A-VIK2

this model should be

DH123/Models/Andro.ships/acl.mod

just a wrong pointer location..

all other models check out after testing the new pack..

DH, All I should need is the new Ftrlist and Shiplist when you have them.

Lepton.. as a work around.. all you have to do is create a text file called Models_Credits.txt in the opplus folder with the installer that you have currently.. or wait for my posting back here for the new installer and you should be good to go..

BTW, the Models package is really worth it.. it does not overwrite any models you may have in the Assets folder, it creates it's own models in the opplus\Models folder.. the look of many of them makes OP a new game when playing them.. but to each their own.. many worry about the space on their HDD.. however using the small installer takes just as much room because you are then copying the Stock models to opplus\Models folder.. aka same HDD space taken.. maybe just a tiny bit more with the Model installer of OP +, but not that much more. the only difference between the 2 different packages really is the time to DL them.. HDD space is only 5 to 10 MB difference between packages installed.

Here is the URL for the installer.. Now 6.90MB

http://sfcx.no-ip.com/downloads/mirrors/Pestalence/GW5_Install.exe

Total Adjustments to original installer:

Installer will only install if OP + is installed first.. message gives DL location of OP + v4.0 and reason GW 5 installer not being able to install

MetaAssets install was ignored in the original installer, corrected.. shiplist and ftrlistlist files now installed to both MetaAssets and Assets\Specs

2 stock scripts were included which were not necessary, scripts removed for space

Batch files did not take into account the fact that a player may have NW scripts already installed, scripts are now backed up

Renamed desktop shortcuts for clairity

Dual installer compalation to get smallest possible size...

Tested for proper install/uninstall with the batch files and installer / uninstaller files

Installer will now auto setup the game to be in GW 5 mode when complete

desktop shortcuts now recognize which mode game is in and only swap files after checking mode

Added background image and first panel image into installer.. images stolen from Kroma's site.

Changes :

Removed invalid models from the original package.

Changed the file from Models_Credit.txt to model.siz for the OP + check as to be compatible with both the Modeled and Non Modeled package of OP +. Installer will still check to see if OP + is installed.

Original installer size reduced from 14.6 MB to 6.9 MB, a 7.7 MB savings on installer size.

Errors found in the shiplist:

Error: model is MISSING: assets/models/Andro/ships/acl.mod    A-VIK2

this should be

DH123/MODELS/Andro/ships/acl.mod    A-VIK2

Awaiting newer version of ftrlist and shiplist to revise installer again...

models tested with Firesoul's All Model Tester v1.00

Installer Update info below.

We will likely be making more changes for the real list than just the ship list.

I'll post the new MSI when it is ready, this will be the official supported install.

I simply have no issue with anyone smarter than me re-packaging it  ;D

PS, thank you.
