Ok so the Judge is back and I want to know where the Jury is -- hey its not a joke judge used to fly with jury!!!

Now a few futher comments--most about 9th and feds

Many fed fleets had a number of aholes in them -- guess some things never change :)
9th didnt -- 9th fleet was a class act from top to bottom..

way way back in the days of SL -- when you didnt have to declare what race you were flying only the BPV of the match-- 9th was about the only fleet you could count on to fly FED at whatever terms were negotiated -- others would choose whatever cheese they could to beat you at the selected BPV.
They were top notch pilots who didnt need to stab you in the back to win..
NannerSlug, Ghis, Canuck and a long list of others who were honorable on and off the battle maps..

It was 9th fleet that KHH fought way way back in the aborted SL campaign... as I recall just when they aborted the campaign 9th had a task force of approx 48CA/CC coming at KHH with a fleet of approx 28? D7C/D7/D6/D6D/F5C (would have been some great battles if they happened)

Oh and in case anyone still keeps in touch with Reprisal - tell him duck wants to know how Sgt Harper is doing.... "God save the queen" (Rep will know exactly what that all means)

Well, that was rather rude, and quite unneccesary.  Not sure why you felt the need to say that.

DUCKY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Reprisal is around and kicking so be carefuly or your ridge-head will have to be smashed again.  :)

FPF, calm down, please.  I do believe that he's talking about a day before the FPF existed. Many fed fleets in those days did take whatever race had the best ship in a certain point range after negotiations were done, and on counterpoint so did many of the fleets from other races.  It was a different community back then, with over 4,500 people registered for the Starlance leagues and participating in league-style matches.

Very few fleets ever stuck to their guns on what races you fly in matches, most of the ones I was a member of discouraged flying other races on principal (why be a fed if you're not going to fly fed?).  KHH was a great klingon fleet, home of many fed's arch-nemesis, and they almost always flew klingon in any match.  Likewise there were a few gorn fleets that did the same, and so on and so forth...

Most average pilots of those days ran when they saw an opponent with the fleet tag KHH, 9th, FBF, iCoP, MoK, Rage, and I can't even remember some of the other fleet names anymore, but there were several gorn and rom fleets that also fit this bill.  Me, I was too stupid to run most of the time and accepted the challenge, mostly because I always learned something new from those matches with more experienced players.  When people started running from me, it felt good for the first few times and then very, very boring when they declined matches over and over again.

With all that said...Ducky never was very good at playing nice.  :)

Damn Klingons!

Yeah you are selling the current Fed fleets short, they are packed with more than just a mere "number" of aholes these days.  :P ;D

I think he was just looking back to the good old days in the mplayer chat rooms where we'd fight over voice rights and call Duck and Minime sore losers.  :)

Which reminds me...Minime still pisses in the corner of the room, ruining the carpets as evidenced by VH1's Surreal Life.

Um, I was bashing the klingons, and I don't think they meant to bash any current fed fleets.  Most of the ones they might be referring to are out of existence now.

I remember in the latter days were a Federation Fleet was going around bashing everyone else because they had a lot of members.  FBF challenged them to a two-day war where fleet members fought each other in required, but fair matches (as far as BPV, etc, and both sides had to fly fed).  Out of over 95 battles we (FBF) lost about five, and most of those were two or three on one.

There was a lot of infighting in those days, except it was done in Mplayer chat rooms, not mostly on message boards like has been done recently.

Ah, the good old days.

I won't put words in Ducky's, or anyone's mouths, (He has enough problems with Minime around), but I seriously doubt it was an attempt to bash current-day fleets.  I know that was not my intent either.

Sorry, didn't mean to be overly-sensitive...

Well, bashing Feds never goes out of style...

...but that is exactly why I am.  After four years of having to listen to it, one either gets used to it, or gets tired of it.  I was never one to get used to it. ;D

Oh, and DH, I wasn't being diplomatic. ;)

Sigh

First off as Judge pointed out I was speaking in the past..
Secondly you actually failed to pick up on my post being one of high praise for the Federation 9th fleet as being as class act..instead you chose to focus on my one little comment about some fed fleets..see we never had that problem in khh we never had one ahole -- the entire fleet were aholes.
(damn I am getting old I just deleted my line about you should visit Dr Kroma's office )

Anyways once again I dont belive we have ever had any issues with anyone in Dyna -- and lets see SL was about 6years ago wasnt it ? maybe 5? -- and yea the ladder league was full of aholes at the time -- and good pilots like 9th fleet had or GT.. anyone who was part of the SL days will back me up on that comment..

Quack to you.

Oh just ignore them Ducky-poo. I have found the Feds to be a humorless lot that are mainly into chest pounding and a false sense of racial pride, (or maybe that was the Klingons, honestly you pink skins all look alike to me). Why just look at this pathetic display of bravado Wanderer was using to inspire his troops in the Alliance forums:

I hope I didn't.  They're MY men.  I handpicked them from around the fleet, gave them red, yellow, and blue short shorts, with matching socks and white tennis shoes to wear.  The picture I posted before was my security squad.

You know, a ship full of lovers can be an interesting life to lead, and when it comes time to fight, they're a quite a vicious bunch. It's kind of arousing seeing them all covered in the blood of the enemy after a good fight.

Just don't be stuck on the ship for the after-victory orgy.  Few people escape once that happens.
