<S>  Hello... hope someone out there can help with this, it will bring a few new players to the Dynaverse2 if we can pull this off.

Has anyone managed to use a cable modem/router LAN setup with 2+ systems hooked into it for SFC2OP Dynaverse campaigns?  I think I remember two guys from the GZ leagues on one of the recent servers who seemed to have this working.  We haven't actually tried to hook it up, this will happen in possibly the next day or two but I've heard many a nightmare story about this so I thought I'd ask the experts for advice first, and save these newer players the morale hit of having to fight to get the game to work right

No. You require two public IP addresses. Usually an ISP will only charge $5-10 dollars a month extra per additional IP address. Just connect a dumb hub/switch to the lan side of the cable/dsl modem and you can obtain as many IP addresses as you have paid for.

pptd has been used in the past to "borrow" another public IP but it is laggy and buggy.
