I want to learn how to retexture and convert meshes.

Where can I find info & tutorials ?

I went over manitoba1073's tutorial and learned a lot. [Excellent, by the way if you haven't seen it] And now I want to learn more. manitoba1073, kinda started me on my way, now I need some more for my next lesson.

I've been playing with 3D max and have been looking for tuts. Mainly I want to find a step by step process for conversion from [.lod .max etc.. to .mod SFC3, SFC2 etc....]

I'm very good with Paint shop pro & I'd say I'm Intermediate with PShop, So I'm OK with the graphics ............. I need the modeling & 3D end.

conversions r more by trial and error. but add me to ur msn messenger. and i will have to walku thru it once as im not sure of any conversion tutorials out there. but my msn is manitoba1073@hotmail.com

What version of max do you have?. The only versions of max you can use to directly put a model into the game is Max 3,4,or5 as there are plugins for thoes versions. Version 6 and up wont work with the plug ins.
You could make the model in max 6 or 7 but you would have to jump through hoops to put it in the game.

I have MAX 5.1 ............. I've been playing with it i.e. loading meshes & experimenting, but I just don't know how isolate the image sections for export to a .bmp. I also noticed how the referenced images in the .MOD file are in sections.

#1. My goal is to learn mesh conversion to SFC3
#2. texturing
#3. modeling

Hopefully in that order

I also, have: paint shop pro 8 & photoshop 7

[I'm at work now ..... one of the benefits of being a network engineer]

Also, I don't believe in using anyones mesh without permission. I already have permissions for several meshes, I want to work on.
