Is there a model of just the internal dock layout?

Spartan-117 ...

not sure what to tell ya ..  I'm still back in the phone age ..  and I managed to get it !  (Though it took a while ).

Perhaps one of the guys with a little more tech background might be able to help.

---------------------------

MP ....

Can you imagine this type of lay out we found at "Treknology" .. done to the scale and design style of the one found at the post you made ...  WOW !

OOOOO ...  just thinking about it !

I have to run to work today (one of the benefits of being a dept head.  No one else will be there)   ...  I'll try to pop back here in a few.

I wish there was, if nothing else, a better way to view that SB that you posted.  I have looked at in the MOD viewer ..  EXCELLENT work.  I have not looked in the credits yet ... Is that some of WZ's work ?

Well ...  I have got to run !

thanks everyone for all of the input!  This is good stuff to learn.   I can't help but to wonder if there is a shortage of SB's for the rest of the races out there ?

To the best of my knowledge that one done by Moonraker is the only one with an interior you can actually zoom in on, as for on with the a internal view that you could actually interact with no. I've never come across one.

Don't tease me like that WOW is an understatement. That would be the coolest SB to date. Oh man o man done in scale...........I'm getting goose-bumps thinking about it.

Well, seeing that the spacedock is on Moonraker's site and all...

I'm actually surprised nobody knew about that model, it's been around for years and was quite popular.

Incidentally, Moon's site was moved over to the CUGS server along with DRS. Try the link again and it should redirect you to the new and functional download pages.

I agree, I really am suprised that it's been forgotten. But about that other base WZ sir, care to give it a go. It goes without saying what you could do with it. ;D

Thanks for the clarification guys ..  I glanced at that very quickly while at work ..  All I saw was a notice that the site as managed by WZ .. I figured that there was a difference between managed" and done by.  My puter at work does not have any of the tools to review the stuff there.  (And if I DL a bunch of Trek stuff on my hard drive the CEO ..  [my immediate boss] might not quite understand the situation.  So I try to limit what I do while at work both in time spent and over all activities).

That was the reason I asked about who did the model.  The last couple of weeks have been a bit nuts to say the least.

Thanks for the patience guys !!  I appreciate everything.

BTW...  2 things

1.  I still need a better way to review that model.

2.  MP ....   I'm with you bud !  That model you and I were talking about ?  OH YEAH !  ( still drooling !)

WOW it is big. I'm not sure if it looks right with that particular style base. In the TOS era one it works because Of it's layout and symetry. Honsetly I don't know if I like this one. Done to scale it would be immense, that's for sure. Take a look at this one, it's TMP/TNG era and it's already scaled to size........

I guess it's up to you wether or not you like the one ya did. As perhaps the say the first base of operations for the Federation in the far off Delta Quadrant or something like that, where it would be the only facility around, I'd use it. But for an everyday base, for me it's too much.

You are exactly correct my friend .. it is ment for deep space out posts.  I kinda like that one you displayed too.  The down side of mind is that its just cut and paste stuff I threw togeather based on the one you posted with the internal detail.  If you noticed ... all of the components are from that one SB...

On an additional note ...  if you can find one that is similar in construction to the one I posted  . ..  perhaps a different configuration ...  I would be interested.  It should meet the following specs:

1.  TNG styling  preferably Fed.  I might consider DS-9 ..  but off hand probably not.

2.  defiantly a larger base.  Multiple satellites around it would be good, but not mandatory.

3.  Yes ..  it is deep space, major installation, just short of a colony in itself.

Finally ...  I need it soon.  ( I cant tell ya why just now)

thanks for all of the responses thus far.

How would something like this be for you:

Please note that I have higher-res textures and illumination maps available for this model, just no time right now to put them on...  ;)

1. How is this one campared to the SB illustrated from Treknology?

2. Do you have some a couple different picts.

Off hand  ..  its not quite what we're looking for.  But what ever its worth ..  this a good looking base.

thanks for the response !

I've got an idea.  That base that Pierce put up can be used to bash your base Buzz.  That base can be used as satellites joined to the main base as a ring.  Just an idea.
The pen is truly mightier than the sword.  And considerably easier to write with.

You know, honestly, this is the first time I've looked at this thread and actually seen that pic.  ;)  I remember the first time I came in after you'd posted that, the pic wasn't working for some reason, and then I forgot to look again.  :)  Didn't realize what you were going for.  A TNG version of that might look better with a SpaceDock-style Starbase surrounded by Regula-1's or Orbital Office Complexes...  I would vote for both of them interspersed around the "perimeter..."  Or, yeah, as Daihak said, the base I posted could be satellites around the main SpaceDock, but you seemed not to like that idea...  :)

2. Do you have some a couple different picts.

Well, it's circular, so it looks pretty much the same from every side.  :D  I'll work on some shots once I get the illum maps thrown on it...

BTW, anybody know an easy way to test Starbases in SFC2?
